'25 QB transfer prospects (Joey Aguilar)

There's need for whatever I want to say and how I say it, don't like that $hit, too bad! ? Then put me on ignore! Simple as that. Nico was given a raise in the winter and that was supposed to be the end of it. Heupel and Spyre had to reason to think he would just up and skip practice. Hell, when Heupel brought in Milton after Hendon was brought in, all everyone say was former 5 star in Milton. And we all know how that DAMN story ended. Do you really think Nico was worth 4 million and the drama his family brings? And obviously they were still butthurt we brought in GMac over Madden.

But yeah, we won't know till a year or 2 down the road. But at no poydid we know Nico and his Dad were Cancers until it was too late. NOBODY but UCLA wanted Nico and his drama, that is a Fkn fact! I'm betting TN gets the better end of this deal. You obviously have some unhealthy obsession with Nico. It's nasty, but your choice nonetheless. Sounds like you need to go follow him to UCLA and becya fan of them. The simple fact that you are still defending Nico after everything we've learned, is very disturbing and tells me your charyis similar to theirs. Damn, $hit,Hell!
I didn't even think about that. Did Madden ever take an OV here? There was no interest, I don't think.

He was never in the portal, so not really a "real" option.
Yes, but he just announced that after over a week of speculation. If he didn't even want to talk, then he would have announced last week. Pretty clear there were discussions. There are guys in the portal for less than 48 hours because they know where they are going.

Question: If Aguilar was so good in 2023, why didn’t a bigger school with more money scoop him up?

UCLA got him for a discount and just passed him on to us for our 5 star.

What a joke. I seriously question Heupel’s judgement.
Screen name checks out

If he keeps it under 10 INT's we are back in the playoffs. If any coach in America can bring a guy in and smooth out his decision making it's CJH. I've spent the last day watching all I can. I'm pumped for Joey and what this offense can do with a proper gunslinger. We're going to be a very frustrating team to play.

I would be more worried if Kyle McCord had stayed at Syracuse. He's off to the NFL, their best WR is in the portal among other's they have lost. Definitely not the same Syracuse we saw last year. Not to mention they lost to Stanford, BC and Pitt last year, who were a combined 17-21. They had weapons and a great QB last year. And a new QB that played in 3 games and has never started.
They’ve lost their stud QB, RB, TE, WR, DT, and multiple other starters off last years roster. It’s a shell of last year’s team without the years of recruiting at a high level ours has had to backfill.

It’d definitely not be good for him. But I think people on this board need to accept we’re not beating Cuse by 60 points. They were very solid last season and Brown is a good coach. They’re not your typical ACC pushover team like NC State was. Plus it’s week 1 with a new QB. I can absolutely see that game going poorly for us.
We are going to eviscerate them.

If the kid can make quick enough (good) decisions and throw accurate passes he will have better stats than Nico...and if that's the case then we're going to surprise ALOT of people this year

If we lose to Syracuse, Heupel better pray he doesn’t lose to the big three. Boosters won’t be happy being made fools after they have ponied up a lot of money for these recent teams.

We need another playoff appearance and to make sure Faizon signs.
How is anyone even considering we could lose to Cuse? We are VASTLY more talented than they are. They probably won't be able to score.

Big Nic that you? About time you go join the UCLA message board my friend

It’ll be interesting to see how the storyline goes w/ Aguilar vs Angeli in that first game. It would be very good on a lot of fronts to win that game convincingly and to have Aguilar put up better #’s than Angeli.

Nah man. Just concerned we got a QB from UCLA of all schools, after they decided the toxic waste we just dumped was a better option.
Who f'ing cares what they think? A successful season for them and their idiot coach is a bowl game while we are aiming for the playoffs and the QB exchange does not change that.

NOTHING binds the kid to the school. It has been talked about ad nauseam that the coaches gave Nico a raise (even though he didn't deserve one), and thought it was settled.

Big Nic then went and most likely ruined his son's career. They have now screwed over 2 SEC programs for UCLA. I'm not sure that anything could've been done more on Tennessee's end to prevent this. You probably would've been mad in the winter window if we let Nico walk, right?

Nico and his crew put Tennessee/CJH in an incredibly bad spot with how he went about everything
Agree, and I saw some saying we should have got a QB in winter portal. If we had done that Nico would have left and those same people would be saying how stupid we were to bring someone in and run off your QB.

You can’t always prepare for low character family..

Nico screwed us. Any rational person, booster or not, knows it and is going to approach this season understanding that our ceiling we had with Nico is higher than the ceiling we have now without him. Is what it is and most people get that. Only loud clowns will judge Heupel harshly if things don’t go great this season.

Chances are, one of the three quarterbacks steps up, plays reasonably well, get us to 8-4, maybe better.
