Do you think the Rocky Top League has anything to do with our lack of defense?

I know they don't play defense there, and look to make the big play that makes the crowd ooh and aah, like the halfcourt alley-oops and 360 Hopson dunk.

Or is it a lack of coaching, or disconnect between the coaching and players?

I'd like to think that Bruce teaches and preaches defense at practice.

I believe all college players from around the country play pick up games and other summer leagues. What would make this one different from the others, causing UT to not play defense?

I think you can put it on 1 thing, and that is the coach demanding it.

Also, I am definitely not a expert, but I just wanted to give my opinion on it.

The Rocky Top League is the least of this team's problems.

I am not familiar with what the Rocky Top League is like, is it similar to the old Bluff City Classic?

nobody wants to hear it, but accountability from the staff is the single largest problem on this basketball team.

I've been around a lot of basketball folk in my life and I'll count Hat in the brightest category all day long.

You might not his message or his delivery, but discounting what he knows is absolutely silly, especially from you with all the HS coaching quips.

The best part of the coaching quips are that I guarantee I coached more D-I players in a single summer than he has in his entire career at whatever jerkwater High School he incompetently coaches. He always babbles about who has played or coached. He should find it instructive that the people on here who have done one or both of those things are the ones who find him the most worthless.

I'm no "expert" but it looks like we don't have the talent to match all the preseason hype.

We definitely have the talent to make a sweet 16 or maybe even an elite 8 run. Whether it's coaching, team chemistry, player development, or simply inexperience is the issue.

Laughable hat. I have forgotten more about bball it seems than u will ever know. I have coached over 40 girls that played d1 including 3 at UT and 15 guys atleast that moved on including 1 current player at an ivy league school. Anyway, people that do not realize how inexperienced this team truly is vs last yrs team crack me up. Plus dinging cbp is moronic if u can't see he is having to change philosophies this year due to the team chemistry b4 and now during the season. We are taking lumps for sure and have had some horrific losses but I think cbp is more qualified than any on this board to fix it

in what capacity, exactly, did you "work" these camps?

I appreciate Hat's insight on everything he posts, and I freely admit he knows 100 times more about basketball than I do. Let us not forget though that Hat is the one who, on this very board, said that UT would make the Final Four if "Tyler stays and Hopson commits." Granted, that was before we lost Ramar and Duke...still though, a very bold prediction.

40 girls, that equates to, well nothing. Considering in the three summers coached AAU, we sent every kid who suited up to a D-I school, I'll take that resume over your long tenure at Jerkwater High. How many of your guys have played in the Final Four? Professionally? You're the guy who has kept babbling all year about how improvement is right round the corner. Well, the only thing around the corner was a punch in the face from an awful Auburn team. How experienced is Kansas? Memphis? Wake Forest? Keep kissing Bruce's arse. Maybe he can get Pat to get you some goog tickets to a Lady Vols game.

Working 3 women's basketball camps=As relevant to a discussion of Division I men's basketball as a job at Wendy's. When I'm at the NCAAs this year, I can give that impressive resume to some coaches. I'm sure they'll find day care for someone that accomplished.
