I know what you mean. At the upper levels of AAU ball, you better have a bunch of players. We had a team with 12 guys who signed at D-I schools and were still not as talented as a bunch of the teams at, for example, the summer tournaments in Las Vegas. DC Assault, Atlanta Celtics, et al put teams on the floor that you could win a national championship with if you kept them intact for college.very true. my hs coach wouldn't let us play with anyone but our hs team. the problem was that some of our better players played baseball, or football so they couldn't play which ended up giving us a half ass team. we had 3 good players, that's it. we were going against teams that had 8 or 9 good players. it was a waste of time.
Laughable hat. I have forgotten more about bball it seems than u will ever know. I have coached over 40 girls that played d1 including 3 at UT and 15 guys atleast that moved on including 1 current player at an ivy league school. Anyway, people that do not realize how inexperienced this team truly is vs last yrs team crack me up. Plus dinging cbp is moronic if u can't see he is having to change philosophies this year due to the team chemistry b4 and now during the season. We are taking lumps for sure and have had some horrific losses but I think cbp is more qualified than any on this board to fix it

UT has the talent, they need to just play some defense, stop jacking up 3's from way downtown, and play as a team and they could be pretty darn good

who on earth runs a flex against a zone? it's a man O.The flex O is very far from a horrible offense. The lack of a true 3 pt shooter hurts us in the half court. And the lack of a TRUE big man in the paint hurts as well. Say what you will but Chism is not a true big neither is Tyler as you see both of them out of the lane more times than not.
This year the team simply is not running the offense well and the flex is not the greatest against a zone if not run perfectly. Personally I do not like it vs a zone, much better vs a man and these guys for the most part are too young to run it right vs a zone. We do not have the patience combined with ball movement right now...may not at all this season.
it's not easy to guard if varied and executed well.the flex is something that is run in most Jr. High programs, and even some jr. pro leagues. its very easy to guard. look bruce is obviously not coaching them on D, it's been pretty obvious all year. they are def. not disciplined on D, or O for that matter. but we have a hell of a D when it comes to the other team inbounding the ball, i'll give him credit there
none are if you pick well, set up picks well by v cutting hard, pass crisply and make the shots when they're given.true there are variations, but don't most sets? thing is the flex that bruce runs is ridiculously easy to guard
