Question to CCM supporters

What's the problem here. Everyone has talked about how "good" UT's defense would be this year, yet on game day the defense is absolutely atrocious. I've watched Marshall Henderson bomb 3 or 4 WIDE OPEN 3 pointers while Jarnell Stokes basically watched him do so. His pick and roll defense is complete GARBAGE.

So Coach Martin can't coach offense, and that's pretty obvious.. and now it seems that he can't control the defense. So what the hell is he doing? This team looks like straight trash. If it weren't for Jordan McRae we wouldn't have won a game thus far. He should honestly average 20 a game and is undoubtedly our best scorer.. yet he's running point?

I seriously didn't think he was going to miss after the first few.. He was hitting everything he threw up there.. Amazing.


Oh, and the refs were f'n terrible!!!!

Face it. Tennessee is a HORRIBLE basketball team. Jarnell Stokes is non-existent to often. He is big and slow with no versatility at all. They have no one who can do anything with the game on the line.

This team will be lucky to finish above .500.

Even with all of this, if we just hit our free throws we win the game.

McRae is at the point because Golden is brain dead half the time and his ball handling is terrible. No one else can run the point or has stepped up to run it.

UT is a flawed team that handles the ball worse than a middle school team. In close games, that'll get you beat more times than not. When you miss 4 straight FT's to take the lead and blow 3 chances to either tie it or go ahead, you don't deserve to win. This team finds ways to lose. That's on the players and the coaching staff.

First, you damn sure cant win with 20 turnovers.
Second, take the ball away from Golden. He is not a damn point gaurd. He has no handles. At least CCM is trying to get one for next year.
Third, either never play Mcbee again or make his ass shave the hair off his face. Ever since he started growing that damn stash he has been playing like dog crap.
Lastly, go recruit a shooter. Pure shooters these days are not 5 stars players. Go to French Lick, IN and get a damn shooter.

I dont hate this team and still a CCM supporter but it is hard as hell to watch this team!

Out football team sucked and our basketball team suck. Damn now I know how Vanderbilt fans felt all these years.

When he adds more talent to this team they will win these games. Some of you act as though CCM has coached this team for the last 4 or 5 yrs. UT basketball is a process that will take one or more recruiting classes before it's going to go places.

Just curious, has anyone watched basketball before? How about this team prior to tonight?

Let me try...McRae is the PG because we don't have one. Golden is slow, makes poor decisions, and even worse, he hasn't been scoring- which is his strength. Marshall Henderson is a flat out shooter. I didn't see the first half but he scored squat. If he gets 15-20 shots a game, he will make some. You just have to limit the 3's. Richardson couldn't play him late because he had 4 fouls. Good shooters can hit contested shots.

I am not defending CCM, but it amazes me who decides to throw out the complaints after each and every loss. Our team's biggest weakness is guard play, and it is required in the college game. It wasn't Martin's fault last year because Pearl left nothing. It is his fault this year because he hasn't recruited very well at that position. Pearl inherited Watson and Lofton even though the rest of the roster wasn't great. Guard play, guard play. You need it to win close games.

We held OM to 62 points- they average over 80. Defense wasn't the problem. Closing out a game was.

So defense was the biggest question you had after watching that game?

Ole miss acerages 82ppg, they had 62 in this one.

But the Vols didnt win!

Zo is fond of saying "shooters make shots, and shooters miss shots".

I seem to remember I guy who made shots, over and over - clutch shots! C Lo ring a bell.

I will say it again, this team will be lucky to go .500 this year.
