AgreeI do think the fumble being whistled dead for forward progress was pretty quick and the PI at the end of the game where they intercepted the ball was generous. I’ve both seen that called many times and seen it not called many times. Had the situation been reversed we would all be absolutely livid over that PI call. Don’t get me wrong, it was PI. It was just a weak call in a critical moment.
I think the sensible UGA fans want none of us.They are only cocky because they don’t play Bama in the regular season this year, and they are like EVERY other fan base we’ve faced as of yet in thinking TN isn’t any good without watching. It’s funny how everyone can see the results(not watching anything), and just assume somehow TN is the same TN as always, I guess just getting lucky. Just look to every week so far where they use the whole, yeah TN beat a down/terrible FL, LSU, and Pitt. And now it’s a Bama got screwed by the reffs. The endless excuses that are manufactured by people is amazing
All this while ignoring that most other teams, in some cases their own team, hasn’t played anyone of value, but they don’t consider that criticism in evaluated how good their team is.
I don't think that was a weak call. The PI prevented the receiver from making a play on the ball.I do think the fumble being whistled dead for forward progress was pretty quick and the PI at the end of the game where they intercepted the ball was generous. I genuinely agree with you, but still feel we got lucky in that for once the refs finally called a balanced game against Bama. The entire SEC was shocked at that. You even see it laughed at in the UGA threads. Had this been a typical game we likely get the game stolen from us. The level headed Bama fans admit they lost on the field.I don't think that was a weak call. The PI prevented the receiver from making a play on the ball.
Maybe on the fumble but you could see the official blowing it dead and running in to spot the ball. We would have gone nuts if they had overturned it.
Of course the PI call doesn't matter and probably doesn't happen if they hadn't blown the earlier PI call to give Bama a TD.
No doubt. I was stunned when they actually called that PI and brought the ball back. I don't know that I've ever seen any Bama team not get the benefit of the doubt on a call like that in a situation like that.I genuinely agree with you, but still feel we got lucky in that for once the refs finally called a balanced game against Bama. The guy had his hands all of the WR but I didn’t think he pulled our guy to gain an advantage. Again, I think it was PI but o have zero doubt our fans would’ve gone nuts if the situation were reversed as I’ve seen far worse let go.I don't think that was a weak call. The PI prevented the receiver from making a play on the ball.

My perspective was that his right arm was holding Fant's right arm and prevented him from reaching up for the ball. He also pulled him down while Fant was trying to stop to make the catch. The guy had his hands all of the WR but I didn’t think he pulled our guy to gain an advantage. That could be. Either way I’m stunned they called it in that situation. In years past I think Bama gets away with it.My perspective was that his right arm was holding Fant's right arm and prevented him from reaching up for the ball. He also pulled him down while Fant was trying to stop to make the catch.
I love how that post is written in message board-enese and I still understood every wordHere is a quote from a rival on a private gator forum. You Vols are the real deal this year. I am happy for you. Your dry spell and bad luck against UF has been a real trial. I hope you beat the dog shttt out of Georgia and win the SEC title and go on and rep the SEC in a title game. Ive followed SEC and gator football since 1965. The pendulum has finally swung your way and to a very deserving fan base. Gator fans are ready to fire the new coaches (much like always) SOS spoiled many and Urban did too. Respect from me for sure. btw Satan and bama has been getting homer calls for years...........phkkkk them.
How the hell did Heupel turn them around so fast in two years? Their recruiting has been ok. Is he just that good of an offensive coach? Do they have a bunch of seniors or something?
Tennessee has the best offense I have ever seen from a team not loaded with 5-Star players
Track meet. Tennessee shredding Alabama's secondary with modern passing attack.
Echoes of LSU 2019 style of play.
Can't wait to see how Kirby and Co. handle this.
something?
He’s a very good coach and they have a very good QB. That combo with a solid OL is almost a guarantee to win 10+ games. They’re legit.
They even tried to claim 12 men on the field, yet Bryce called a TOIn what way was it generous toward UT? I remember 3 calls that I've seen Bama posters point to. One was a possible facemask in a still shot. I do not know if it was pulled or not. Two was the PI at the end... which was textbook PI. That wasn't a questionable call whatsoever. The last and probably best argument was the potential targeting by Omari. It was nowhere near as flagrant as the uncalled shot on Hooker last year... but it could have gone against UT and still been a reasonable call.
They got away with other PIs. They got away with offensive holding. I'm not seeing how that game was generous to UT. At the very, very best it was roughly even to UT. But the worst call of the game by far was the PI in the end zone that kept them alive in the game.

It’s about time. Their Oline and Dbs have been getting away with holding for years on every dam play.
When the zebras use both eyes.
Also enjoyed the tantrums by the offensive lineman when caught. They didn’t know their immunity had been revoked.
This new generation of SEC ref's will call holding against Bama.
Unlike the old cabal of Steve Shaw and company
Did the wire transfers from Tuscaloosa not clear this morning?
Agreed. What’s not being mentioned is the fact we missed 3 deep balls where the ball was overthrown a tad or over the receivers head. I can’t say for sure because I can’t remember…..(too busy processing the win after such a drought) but 2 of those 3 would’ve been TD’s and in that case we really beat their arsesTheir poster that broke the game down made a point to emphasize some of the finer aspects of what he believed to be slow calls and late whistles. To be honest, I think it was a generous game for us, but we also spotted them opportunities to even stay in this game or win it, so I consider it even.
