Rand Paul: We’re Becoming ‘Militarized Zone’ in D.C., Have to ‘Resist’ Rapid Loss of Civil Liberties in a Crisis

Complete thought? It's not my problem you don't possess the mental capacity to read written English. More irony, I'm the dotard....

If you knew how to read you would know the “, Dotard” reference is to Trump and not you. But, based on your reply, it seems that you qualify for the handle, too. That’s nice

Your comma made it read like you were calling Mark the Dotard name

Remove the comma and there’s no confusion

The biggest difference is one incident made the politicians in Washington feel threatened while the others made some no-names far away feel threatened.

It grinds my ass that they make such a big deal about the former but were largely silent - and in some cases, supportive of - the violence in other cities over the summer.

If they truly were governing on behalf of the people they would have been just as eager to use force to protect other people’s properties and lives as they were their own in Washington DC.

And don’t get me started on the defund police movement. Defund police but let’s militarize DC! We’ve got to protect our own asses!!!

Truly sad sacks of ****, the whole lot of them.

The circumstances do matter and you and Fox News et all continuing to minimize what happened on 1/6 is not persuasive to anyone not already a part of your echo chamber. Thus:

I agree with prosecuting people who destroyed property in the riots last summer for exactly that.

I agree with prosecuting rioters on 1/6 for destroying property and also for sedition.

I agree with prosecuting Trump for inciting it.

I agree with prosecuting any member of Congress found to have knowingly facilitated any part of it, including simply the breach of the Capitol.

Putting up disapproval by that moron convinces me even more I am correct.
Just for comparison, how many businesses, buildings or vehicles were burned to the ground on 1/6?

I wonder what that number would be for the riots of 2020?

The used car lot owned by an Indian 🇮🇳 immigrant family in Kenosha, WI is just one example of the hypocrisy of the left when comparing 1/6 to last summer’s riots.

Anmol Khindri, a member of the family who owns the car dealership, said he estimated the damage from both nights to be upwards of $2.5 million. He said he felt nothing was done to prevent what happened to the family business.

“Everybody watched it burn to ashes,” Khindri told the paper. “Nobody did nothing about it – nothing.”

Prior to the destruction, Car Source had more than 140 vehicles available for sale, according to its website. Afterward, video showed the charred remains of dozens of cars -- with only a few left unscathed.

1 - I’m not in any echo chamber and honestly have no idea how FoxNews or any other entity you perceive to be in the echo chamber feel about it

2 - Fine if you feel like prosecuting any of the people involved with the 1/6 incident. I think they got it will get what is coming to them. The sedition charge may be an over each

3 - Good luck with any of the politicians you perceive to have incited it

You miss the larger point, and it’s sad that you do. There’s a double standard when it comes to your outrage and to the application of the justice system.

There have been numerous instances where someone else’s property has been damaged or destroyed. Lives and livelihoods destroyed. Many of the same people squealing about 1/6 were silent then. Some even encouraged it. There’s a belief that some lawlessness is righteous.

What about all the people who were assaulted and harassed leaving the Trump event in DC just a few months ago? There was no collective outrage then. Show me the threads you started about any of those events.

You and the partisan politicians are as big a part of this problem as the people who overran the Capitol this month. Until there is a reckoning in that respect, there won’t be much positive movement in this area.

What public official egged on the violence last summer, and how do they equate to a President and numerous members of Congress urging the crowd on that invaded the Capitol?

Uh huh.

We can start by your slut vp urging it on but she is far from the only one
As a nation we are in trouble..BIG TIME. I honestly do not see an out. Media callin for "reeducation" and such..Crap.
Almost half the nation sees what is happening or has just had enough. I believe the lack of accountabilty with the 2016 election fraud started all this. The FISA court lied to and nothing. It has been a coup or insurrection every since.
