Apparently Meline and two other prospects attended UGA's junior day on Saturday along with 5* CB Lamarcus Joyner.

In the update on the ticker, it says that the University of Tennessee was the next visit for Joyner, so I'm guessing that may have meant that Joyner and the three guys who were with him(including Meline) were going to visit Tennessee yesterday. Hopefully they made it in.

Earlier today, IrishIllustrated.com reported that Blake Bell, the nation's No. 1 quarterback, was down to 10 schools. However, Bell told Rivals.com after the first report he still hasn’t reduced his list.

“He wanted to know some of the schools I was considering, and I named some off the top of my head,” Bell said. “I guess (the reporter) thought that was my top 10. It’s no big deal, but I’m still pretty open. I’m going on a whole bunch of trips, then after that I’ll narrow it down a lot more.”

Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Georgia, UCLA, Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU, Iowa and Iowa State were mentioned in the story. Bell later mentioned Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Colorado State and Kansas as schools he’s interested in.

The qb situation is making me nervous. We got a lot of talent already in this past class as far as skill positions and basically a starting position for a stud qb at a major university.

Receiver Markeith Ambles, San Diego Mission Bay running back Dillon Baxter, Chapel Hill, N.C., offensive lineman Robert Crisp, Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline quarterback Jake Heaps and Palatine (Ill.) Fremd offensive lineman Christian Lombard, will all play in the Army AA Game.

Jake is an odd character...great form, nice arm...but Rivals got spooked on him....wouldn't you guess he is our most likely #1 target in this class...just how sold on him is the staff, I wonder?

As big of a need as qb is I would say everyone is in on recruiting qb's. I'd think Cheaney would be more important (based on what he did at Purdue and NFL experience) as far as landing the qb.

The QB spot is a major priority for the 2010 class so I would imagine they would throw everything into securing a top notch QB prospect/s.

I'd like to think that this staff is smart enough to zero in on the Phillip Simms kid as their #1 qb target.

His highlight tape is other worldly.

"It was an 'A' visit, I am real happy with Georgia right now," Joyner added.

Joyner plans to visit the University of Tennessee next.

Wide receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesvile, Ga./Gainesville) picked up a scholarship offer from Oklahoma offered him Tuesday.

Southern California has been in contact with his coaches about a potential offer. Jones already has more than two dozen scholarship offers.

Jones plans to attend the Alabama Junior Day this coming weekend.

Big ESPNU 150 Watch List running back Storm Johnson is currently holding 15 scholarship offers, according to affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com.

When asked to name a few schools he'll focus on, Johnson replied, "I know Florida State definitely, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, and USC," Johnson said. "There is a lot of them that I'll have to sit down and get involved with. Right now I'm pretty wide open because I haven't visited enough schools and I haven't sat down with my family. I'm still pretty open for every college and junior college."

Johnson, who rushed for 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns last fall at Buford, Ga., hopes to make a decision during his senior season and then enroll early after participating in an all-star game.

Joyner has tOSU as his top school followed by Alabama

Oh how you are wrong. I spoke to Lamarcus directly recently and his still says Florida has the slight edge. Please don't post things that you have no idea about. I'm not saying that Ohio State isn't in it, but they are far from being his "top school".

So if you said Lamarcus saw why Urban Meyer was a liar, why does he have them in the lead? Much less with the most loaded secondary in the country?

I am not spewing off random crap. The ESPN On the Trail Feature or maybe it was Rival's OSU site said about two weeks ago Joyner's top five was OSU followed by Bama then Florida.

He said that he was starting to see why they call Urban a liar. He be no means called him a liar, and still said that Florida holds a slight lead. Why? I don't know but my best guess is that a lot of his friends and family are pushing FL, not to mention that whether you like it or not they do have a pretty good defense.
