New Orleans (La.) cornerback Karl Butler pledged to the school earlier tonight.
Karl Butler becomes the 12th prospect to publically commit to the Commodores.
"I gave my verbal to Vandy," Butler told VandySports.com. "Basically, I came from the Virginia camp last week and I waited a couple of days while they evaluated me and I really hadn't heard much from then. I kinda already had my mind made up but I just wanted to see where Virginia stood. So I just felt now was a good time to make my decision and I called Coach Belin this afternoon and I just got off the phone with Coach Johnson and told him the news.

Josh Reese: Scout.com: Package deal in the works?

How did Tennessee get in picture?

"I talk to their coaches a lot (laugh). I have heard some good things from them. They want a fresh start. I have to see what type of offense they are going to run. They run a pro offense, but they said they are going to start spreading it out and throw it more. They need a good possession receiver."

Boston College has become a player for Rivals100 defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd of Philadelphia George Washington after a recent visit.

Richard Ash hasn’t been able to get in touch with Gators coaches of late and is being recruited harder by USC, LSU and others. At one point, the Gators were on top of Ash’s list. Rumor is he came in out of shape and had a bad performance at the UF camp session that he attended and that has pushed him down the board a little bit.

This one I love with Hamilton. Here is a kid who didnt qualify for college and had to go to military school. In a recent intervies said he really liked UGA because they offered to pay for his Masters after he finishes football. First if he had a hard time getting into undergrad, grad school might not be there for him. Second you can only offer to pay for an education as long as the player has eligibility. Who knows maybe M Brown a UGA was right about the kickbacks.

Who do yall think that Hooker is talking about in the article he posted yesterday when he said this:

"Back to the Future: While there are a handful of solid prospects in the state for the 2010 signing class, it's clearly not as deep as previous years.

The elite prospects, however, are quite good. One in particular may be the best high school prospect I've seen in almost a decade of covering recruiting.

He'll be No. 1 on the News Sentinel's top prospect list. His identity will be revealed on Tuesday.

Hint: UT fans will be happy."
