what tax software do you guys use to file with?

I typically had someone file for me but that isn't happening moving forward.
cereally, one thing I like is it makes it easy to import W-2 and 1099 data and it walks you through questions about deductions
it has a pretty good "help" feature
I have to file VA state taxes bc I work there, but it makes that really easy, too

Well,
Tennessee's Hall Tax was a 6% tax on dividends and interest income until state legislators passed a bill in 2016 that began a six year phaseout of the Volunteer State's only income tax, taking it down one percentage point per year.
Haslam/legislature? decided around 2020 to go to 0% immedately.
The tax was only on interest and dividends with interest from banks domiciled in TN being exempt.
I retired in 2015, and had to pay it for a few years. Luckily the rate was dropping from 6% each year.
I never paid the Hall Tax and had to go to Deluxe when TT got stingy and started not doing deductions in their basic. I just continued with the deluxe version when I moved to OH and now KY. If you don't have to fill out deduction schedules, you should be able to file for free.

3. Reminds me of A Bronx Tale. It cost you $20 to get rid of him. He's out of your life and will never bother you again.
