Truth. I was hoping to work about 10 more years. Dunno. Might just say the heck with it. And honestly, at this stage of life, I would be working for health insurance instead of the paycheck.If you are retiring before 65 make sure you have your health insurance squared away.
One illness/hospital stay can wipe you out.
I was self employed from the age of 33, and Was advised that Farm B was a good company. Told that they did not cancel policies because of poor health. That was true, but wife had some health issues in her 50s, and they started raising the premiums significantly. They also did not cover one of my drugs. At 59 I went back to work to get the health insurance. Insurance + drugs would save us almost $30k/yr. That was 2010.Truth. I was hoping to work about 10 more years. Dunno.
