It is overpriced, but has come down from the ridiculous price it was a few years ago. Got it for $12 or $13 yesterday.

I’m going to bed, about 6 minutes after my normal on a work weekday. (Might read a little after). Thank goodness it’s Friday tomorrow, it’s been so busy at work the last couple months, my head has felt like it’s been on a swivel. Beef and pork shortages are real through food vendors, not just grocery stores (same thing), I stay so stressed, having to plan alternative proteins for meals, I know this will pass, but the here and now. Bad enough the residents have to stay in their rooms, 24/7 and then get meals that have to be portable and pretty much, the same ole, same ole, it is heartbreaking, their food is one of the things they look forward to everyday.
Please include them in your prayers tonight and every night. Please.

Probably already mentioned, but have you looked into beans and soy products? I know vegans(blech!) use them for protein. I could probably live on pinto beans and cornbread if I had to. Love that stuff.

I remember buying Schaefer in Mississippi when we were teens for $1.89 a six pack, maybe less. That was way overpriced, that stuff was terrible.

I remember going to the Kentucky State line, only about 12 miles from where I lived, in the early 80's and paying $7 even, no tax for a case of Busch.
