Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

my grandparents were better people than i will ever be. they loved kids and having family over. and all these people talking about white privilege can fawk off. My grandparents were farmers and worked their asses off. my uncle and aunts spent hours picking cotton when not in school. they did the best they could and were happy.
My maternal grandparents, along with their 6 kids, moved to California back in the late 40's for a year or so and all worked picking any thing they would get paid for. They lived in those migrant camps, had all their stuff stolen. I must have heard them tell the stories a hundred times.

Two years ago, I stumbled upon the movie "The Grapes of Wrath" and it damn near brought me to tears. It mirrored that portion of my grandparents life.

That book and movie have been around for a long long time.

Thank you guys. I appreciate each one of you. More than you know. I always made it a point to keep people at a distance. They tend to disappoint you. So I don’t really have friends just acquaintances. But I consider you guys my true friends which is funny cuz haven’t met most of you in person
I'm the same way. After being in the ADAF for over 25 years and all the moving around... well, we just found it to be way easier and less painful not to get to attached. For me, I consider it a character flaw of sorts. It's hard to overcome after so long.

I’m the same way. I’ve moved around a lot. I don’t see it as a character flaw, more of just being the way we are because of circumstances in which we grew up in.

I live in the valley at the foothills of the Rockies... surrounded by farm land, wheat and other... what is the other below?
