I take simvastatin for cholesterol, even though I have never had bad or high tests on it -- I guess its preventive because of the glucose management

Talked with the doc about my cardiac calcium scores, they weren't very good. Changing meds then hes turning me over to a cardiac specialist. We have a doc from st Thomas here twice a month for cardiac patients. The knee will have to be replaced but it can wait for a little while.

I hate to hear that, I hope you can get everything straighten out. I love being my age and I’ve assumed you are close to my age. The only thing I don’t like about getting older is that we are like older cars, dependable but need more and more repairs and replacement parts.

I’m adopted. No clue whatever as to the genetic hand I was dealt.

But I’ve had decent labs so far (little credit to my lifestyle), so fingers crossed.

My (adoptive) dad died at 57. My mother is still alive at 93.
