I remember in HS when slipknot was at the pinnacle of their popularity the band’s following was a tad bit on par with the ICP Juggalo crowd IMO. When My buddies and I would play some classic rock/metal, punk, or something super heavy like cyrptosy, gorguts, or nile they would completely diss da fug out of it because it wasn’t slipknot. Bunch of fuggers! That is all.

Yeah, I don't know how it happened, but I was listening to the Beastie Boys channel on Amazon music and was scrolling around and there was one of those "You might also like..." links that was for a death metal playlist someone had created. I skipped the first couple of songs and was getting ready to exit that playlist and some song by CD came on and I was like... wait a sec...

I will be glad when its over. While I enjoy the thought of a potential train wreck that this event may deliver, the fact that she has encouraged (cough, MADE, cough) me to get in better shape beforehand kinda stinks. Thankfully, it's out in TX and COVID does not exist out there and I can get some good imitation BBQ after this thing is over.

*Note, it's technically the 24th year since her HS only had a real small graduating class in 1996, they combined 96 and 97 together.

Social media has killed the train wreck aspect of the reunion. Other than her rolling her eyes at a girl trying to get under her skin, its been civil.

Just sitting here at bar watching Grizzlies game. Hopefully as more alcohol gets poured, I will see the train wreck I am wanting to see...
