Don’t do it! Don’t get sucked back into paid employment!

I don't know if it's "dead" but I do believe this condo collapse is a game changer.

The Dream of Florida Is Dead

This is what the longer-term story here is. You know, it’s not just about one building collapse and the tragedy, although of course it is. But this is going to force a wholesale reevaluation of how these things are handled, at least in the state of Florida.

Think of condo associations as like small-scale socialism. You all have ownership stock in this thing. You make decisions about it. You have the board, which is kind of like the Politburo. No, really, it is socialism. And the thing about socialism is that when you collectively own something, you collectively make a decision about it. Well, some of those decisions are going to be very hard.

Nice! A Camry?

We’re looking for something with some cargo capability and lightweight towing capacity.

I wish Toyota would make a crossover wagon like the Outback. That market needs more competition. I like the ride better than that of regular SUVs.

The original Toyota Highlander (not a crossover, of course) was the perfect size, but it got all swolled up. The current RAV4 has about the same amount of cargo space as the original Highlander.
4Runners are nice heck even the new Hyundai SUV is nice my advice would be to try and stay away from turbos on little motors in a heavy vehicle.

Yeah, I’m definitely concerned about the turbo. Although they’re awfully fun. 😃

Our problem is access. So for instance, with the Accord, my mom would have to sort of fall in to the car (which was good), and then climb out when she got out. Most SUVs would require that she climb up in, and then fall out, neither of which is good. And on bad leg days for me, the same would be true for me getting in and out of the passenger side.

It’s a stupid problem to have, but a real one.

Get one that sits a little lower and has steps that come out when you open the door. Have you looked at a Honda Ridgeline?

I work on my own vehicles and they all are built about the same now not sure why they would cost more unless it's a BMW or Mercedes or the other high-end cars.
Prices for certain things cost double on a Toyota vs a Chevy or Ford. Depends on what model, but stuff like starters, alternators, radiator, etc cost more.
