Damn.
That’s just sad.
Started as a debate in the RF. Couple of sad sacks mentioned how we should jump to the ACC so we could win more. Most of us were like eff that. So I started a poll. Started it in the RF, then it got moved to the FF. I'm honestly surprised at some of the people that voted for jumping to the ACC.

I could not support a team that ran away from competition. Dooley bought out of the North Caroline game and I was pissed. I don’t think I could watch us play nobody’s all year and expect to be taken seriously.

Exactly. Tennessee was one of the SEC founding schools. We don't run from adversity. And I honestly believe we're just the right coach away from rising back up. Hopefully Heup is that guy. If not, it doesn't matter what conference we're in. Running away is just a bitch move.

Could not agree more.

I blame the administration for our failures. And have said we won’t win another championship in our lifetime. That is the standard and jumping to weaker competition means that we’ve accepted not winning championships and traded it for beating a couple extra division 2 teams a year.

Administration messed up the Fulmer situation. Then they made a bad choice (IMO) with Kiffin. I don't think he's a bad coach, but he wasn't a cultural fit, and Hamilton didn't protect the university with a buyout. Plus, he's a douche bag. Then we hired Dooley in a panic, which was stupid. Then came Butch, who on paper, could be argued wasn't a bad hire at the time, but we also went cheap rather than pursuing a bigger name. And then of course Pruitt with Fulmer as AD. The administration has orchestrated one blunder after another. Now all our eggs are in the Heupel basket, praying he's the guy. And even this search was effed up (IMO) by wasting time pursuing Franklin.

We have to get rid of the dysfunction, and despite all the changing personnel, I'm not entirely convinced we have.
