Been normalizing I reckon, I will look into getting another pup in the fall, when work slows down a bit. The empty house kinda sucks, always having a battle buddy around is something I guess I took for granted.

I'm at work as the MOD and already had something weird happen. The Nurse sent for me because some strange looking man just walked in the building and was walking around, saying he was hot. I found him and asked him who he was here to see, he gave me the name and room number. I decided I would go with him. He kept wanting to put his hands on me and talking about my looks. I made sure there was distance between us and let the RA's know that something was off about him. For one thing, his fly was open and was acting like he was high. I took him to the room of the resident and asked her if she knew him. She looked at him confused and said she couldn't have any visitors. So I told him she didn't feel well and he would need to leave and walked him to the door. H didn't want to leave. I thought I was going to have to call the police, but he finally realized I wasn't going to let him back in.

Well I wanted to stay with you! 😛. Anyway, I would’ve called the police or at least security especially since he was trying to put his hands on you. He sounds like he could be dangerous.

Good that you’ll be looking for another one. The “empty house” is very familiar. I’ve been told by several people that have been through this; that time & getting another one was part of their healing process. I’m starting to understand that. I doubt you took anything for granted & it’s more guilt. Happens to all of us during a time like this.
Hoping your empty house is a loud & happy one again for you soon.

Looked into a deal called Pointers for Patriots, in south GA, may see what they have for purchase.

Leaning hard into pointer/setter/Brittany, but may just find a pound rascal.
