My golf project...
2 weeks ago I went golfing for the first time in 35 years... I packed it in after 9 holes of digging trenches. It was 96 degrees out and I was overheated. I used my old clubs and blamed my sorry effort on them (wrong area for blame)... so I ordered new clubs and have been hitting plastic balls in the yard trying to find the swing I used to have.
Today I went to the range and hit a bucket...using tips from Youtube to see if I could hit a pure golf shot at least a few times out of the balls in the bucket.
I just hit a 9 and 7 iron... and managed to hit a bunch of nice shots. So I will keep going to the range and take a few different clubs. Should be able to develop a decent swing again and get back on the course once I feel comfortable again.
I approve of your approach to this game! What is this "decent swing" you're rattling on about? Sounds like acquiring one of those could take a lot of time and effort.
I find it much easier to ban score cards, reassign each hole as a par 6, turn up the tunes in the cart, and enjoy my day.
Oh, and apply adult beverages to taste.
I think we can say this at this point in time...What is this "decent swing" you're rattling on about? Sounds like acquiring one of those could take a lot of time and effort.
