In Minneapolis, First Avenue canceled Dave Chappelle’s show mere hours before he was to take the stage. The show was moved to Varsity Theater, where Chappelle is scheduled to perform tonight and tomorrow night.

Apparently, persons upset with Chappelle’s past jokes about transsexuals got to First Avenue management. Their public statement was an apology for booking Chappelle.

Well, it seems jokes about white heterosexual male politicians, lawyers, and sports personalities are still OK. We’ve got a few folks we can laugh at (and with, it seems).
