I guess with all these homerun hires they just need to give the piggies the NC for the next 5 years....i mean with all these great hires they have they shouldn't lose a game...13-0 for the next several yrs:):):)

arky got something else coming...shannon is finished as a recruiter in south florida. he burned too many bridges. he was the main recruiter after the 2006 season. quick..name a linebacker after 2006 that did anything special? its easy to call plays when you have great postion coaches (example mark stoops DB coach..etc..) with great players ( ed reed, vilma..etc)

the moment he got involved in player development..average football team. good luck arky

well he is a big reason miami been down..not mad. but shedding light. i know the arky ppl will pump him up ( dont blame them, gotta sell the hire) he is a great person tho..just a good play caller, average teacher of the game and horrible head coach

This is closer to the truth than many realize. Shannon has some work to do building the bridges he burnt down in South Florida.

However I can't help but think he's an improvement from the previous Arkansas LB coach.

Yeah he probably is, but i didnt think our LB coach last year was bad (he is now our DB coach which is what he coached at ohio state. AJ Turner and Otha Peters both made the SEC all-freshman team and our best LB Alonzo Highsmith was injured the majority of the year.

Bielema has said a big reason he ran the offense the way he did at wisconsin is because he was pressured to do it the "wisconsin way", smash mouth power football. He's said he'll blend ideas from wisconsin, tennessee, and what we already have in place here into the offense

Honestly, I think Bielema should continue to focus on smash mouth football at Arkansas. If you run it correctly and you have a solid defense, smash mouth football works in the SEC (see: Alabama).

I could care less about Arky. As tradition will show, Tennessee and Bama are the big dogs is the SEC. Let's forget about the last few years and look forward. The competition will fear orange again my friends.

I still don't get our fans' fascination with Shannon. No one offered him a job until TCU did this past summer and he's taken the same position with a team that went 4-8. He's a "great recruiter". Trooper Taylor is too. Am I missing something?
