I am wondering about something and I am being completely serious when I say it.

If we beat Alabama tomorrow in Tuscaloosa, are we ranked in the top 25 afterwards? 5-3 with wins over South Carolina and Alabama might be enough..

We have lost our last 10 away games. To answer your question, it'd be 50/50.

If we beat bammer tomorrow we should give ourselves a trophy, declare ourselves national champions and cancel the rest of the season.

Not likely unfortunately, without them giving us some real good turnovers to the tune of 4.

No, not just yet.

We win 2 more after winning tomorrow and we'll be ranked.

UGa losing again hurt us so we need to beat Bama and win 2 more meaningful games to make up for the losses as bad as we've been for the last many years.

Things are starting to turn our way because of the coaches and our players so now we really could use some good luck for the 1st time in 10 years and we could stun the world and knock the door down on some of the biggest fish in the recruiting pool.

Now if I could only find that 4 leaf clover on these 50 acres, LOL!

USAtoday already has one vote for us in the top 25. Based on this, I believe we would be ranked in some polls, but not others.

You would think so, but SCjr is the only ranked team with 2 losses I believe, so it's going to be tough to sneak in with 3 losses.

However, if UT wins tomorrow than I would say they are now better than a lot of the ranked teams.

I think teams should get more credit for where they are currently than just because they have X losses.

We would have to beat Mizzou and Auburn to reach the top 25. Then we would probably be around 20th. We had two bad losses to Oregon and Florida. If we win out the we would be top 15 team but I wouldn't look for that to happen. We are playing good but I don't think good enough to win out.

Should we beat Vandy, Kentucky, our bowl game and win against either Auburn or Missouri, then we will be ranked in the final season poll. However; a 6 -6 regular season record or a 7 - 6 final record, after the bowl game, won't get us in the top #25 poll.

Next season, we will lose 6 defensive linemen and 4 or 5 starting offensive linemen, so I don't see us being in a poll next season either.

I do see us in the top #15 or top #10 in 2015 and once we get in the top #25, it will be many, many years before we ever drop off of the top #25 again.

With us getting a solid foundation built "brick by brick" I see U.T. here to stay and not being just a quick re-building job, but a dynasty.....

I understand OP, ranked in top 25 is special. We have been there before, ranked one week, and the next week we are out, cause we lost the next game. I think the recruits we want, will judge us where we are ranked our finall game and if we can keep the same motivation and pride they saw, and other recruits saw, at the GA and other games. Just trying to be real. I want the same thing you want, for recruits to see us proud and standing.

If we lose to bama this might be true, but op was saying if we WIN at bama.

Are you kidding?? If we beat #1 Red Team in their house and #11 USCe we should crack the top 25....but most definitely if we beat Mizzu and Auburn....we would be around 15-17.....IMHO.

Let's not count out chickens before they hatch, but I think it's a distinct possibility we're in the top 25. I'll tell you Sunday.

Almost unquestionably, but we might miss by just a bit. It's a little early for a team with three losses to be ranked.

I don't see how we couldn't be. After playing #6 (at the time) Georgia to the wire, beating #11 sc and beating #1 Alabama how are you not ranked?
