If you said preseason we would be 11-2, Orange bowl champs, beat Florida and Bama, I would have taken that 1,000/1,000 times. The SC loss keeps it from being a 10 but it’s still a really solid 9, no complaints from me, for the first time in a while I can’t wait til next season starts
In the context of our long suffering failures, it's definitely a 9. We've had our face shoved in the dirt for 15 years. Finally now at last we are the ones doing the shoving.
Had we done a bit more shoving, could have been a 10. But again, we've suffered for so long, a 9 will do fine.
After what we've been through the past two decades and with where we were just 24 months ago, 11 wins with victories over Florida, LSU, Bama, and Clemson is a solid 10 for me.
I graded on expectation versus results.
Most expected 9-4/8-5 with a mid tier bowl appearance/win.
Result was 11-2 with a major bowl win in convincing fashion.
Would have been a 10 after all that was accomplished. The S.Carolina game was a head scratcher and worth a minus 1 deduction. I'm gonna try to make the USC game next season in Knoxville, I demand a complete 80 plus point revenge beatdown game.
Even with the usc loss, it’s still a 10 for me. My expectation was 7-5/ 8-4. This year has been the funnest since 1998 honestly. 2004/ 2006 was close but 2022 Was Awesome!!!!
Hell, I’m right there with you at 69 and I thought I might not live to see us have another 10 win season so I give it a 9.5 due to the USCe fiasco. GBO and thank the Lord for the current admin, Danny White, Josh Heupel and staff.
Look. Heupel's 2nd year after we spent over 10 years setting dumpsters on fire, building bigger dumpsters, then putting the original burning dumpster in the bigger dumpster and then setting that dumpster on fire... ad nauseam... *shout out to the Knoxville-based Dempster family for the term Dumpster.
This year was a solid 10. I know a NC would be incredible, but I'm not sure it would feel better than this victory tonight... with so many key players out... capping a season where Hooker made good for himself, and then Milton get's a piece of the pie as well!?
