Voted 9 because man what a season but that SC loss really stings! If not for that it's a 10 for sure.

9 due to the dumpster fire performance I witnessed sitting in the stands at Williams Brice. But 11-2 is an awesome achievement for this program and is a testament to how far we’ve come.

You know, it sucks knowing that we have given those damn "cocks" so much credit for "ruining" how we look at this season. With that said, I went back and changed my vote to 10. Yes, the outcome of the season could've been so much better, but in reality, it was. I thought at the start of the season, 7-5 maybe 8-4 would be the ceiling. In hindsight, even with the disaster of south carolina and a nights' sleep with visions of Dabo flipping burgers, an upgrade is in order. Beamer gets his next season.

I put 9, but only because the USCjr game was so heartbreaking.

I did too. A 10 is reserved for a NC. But this is a 9. It was a special season. I think it will lead to NCs, but we will look back on this season with fondness. The memories of the Bama and Florida games will stick with me until I'm gone.

Based on preseason I wanted 10-2 and a win over the big 3. It’s hard not to go 10 in hindsight. I know the South Carolina debacle might knock it to 9 but let’s be real. No one thought 11-2 and a New Years Six bowl won in year two when CJH was hired. Be real

I went with a 10...to go from Gump to 11 wins and an Orange Bowl win...WOW!!! I did not downgrade for the USC game as it was not indicative of the entire season, and we did have one of our good defenders not making that trip. The football gods were not with us in that loss. I'm still very pleased with 11-2 in Heup's 2nd year.

9

Would’ve been a 10, but they lost to a team they had no business losing too. If they had won 10 games and lost to Bama/LSU and Georgia it would probably be a 10, but that South Carolina game cost us a playoff spot and ended the college career of statistically the greatest two years of QB play that we’ve ever had with Hendon. I love Joe, but Hendon is a GOAT, if not the GOAT (Peyton), and any Vol fan would want him to be able to finish what he built.

I predicted an 8 win season so this is definitely a 10 for me. Before the season, I did not think for one second we would be playing and beating Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

10 all day long from me. I watched all of every game, can't say that for several of the games in what I call "the wilderness years". Beat LSU, FL and Bama? Won the Orange Bowl? Most prolific offense in all of college football? 5 star recruit at QB? How can I not give this season a 10?

It’s a 10. A effing 10.

Anyone saying otherwise can’t see the forest due to the trees. Honestly, everyone here prob thought we were a 6-8 win team this year. Our team came out and won 11. We were shown that we have a true football coach now. Think of the dumpster fire we witnessed just a few short years ago. This is truly one of the biggest turn arounds in college football history. All you “I give it a 9 because…..” truly forgot what miserable fans we were a short time ago.

Was the SC game a huge let down? Absolutely. If we’re honest did we have the defense to participate in the playoffs? Absolutely not. I think it’s great that us TN fans expect Enormous results. It’s UT. We should. But at the same time we sometimes get carried away. Given the past 10 years and where the program was at, this year was nothing short of a football miracle. Enjoy it.

It’s a 9. As almost everyone else has said, the loss to a POS USCjr team spoiled the Cinderella year.

Everyone should just ask themselves if in Aug they were were told we would end up 11-2 with wins over Bama, LSU, and UF and finish the year with an Orange Bowl win over top 10 Clemson if you would be happy.
