I'm about 4 episodes in and I love it. Did not read the books. I like the subdued personality the way Ritchson plays it. The way they shoot it they really had me wondering if he is 6' 6" but then I could tell he wasn't when he danced with Roscoe. Googled it and turns out he's just 6' 2".

Iā€™m very happy this will be a faithful adaptation of Jack Reacher because the actor playing Jack Reacher is close to the same tall height, has the short blonde hair, and the brawny body.

Each season most likely will focus on a different book in the Jack Reacher book series.

For people who have read the books, did this story in the first season specifically follow source material? They kinda lost me a little bit with the story. I'll watch next season, but I'm putting this in guilty pleasure category.

He hasn't seen his brother in a decade+ and happens to be strolling next to his dead body in the smallest town in America because he's a fan of a blues musician?

Yes, it does follow the book script.

And on the spoiler you posted - he clears that up in small way revealing he was tipped off to go check out the town...

It wasn't a complete coincidence

Big fan of the books. Enjoyed the first Reacher movie for the most part. Cruise made it work, but he is no Jack Reacher.

Really enjoyed the first season. Think this guy nailed the book character.

I usually love these shows. I finished season 1. It had its moments, but I just couldn't get past the bad acting and cliche storyline.
