Ready or not, this is JJJ's team from here on out

Yet to see anything from JJJ that would suggest he much more than an average SEC player.

He's a distributor with few options to distribute to. It will be a different story when he's on the court with KJ, Springer, Walker, and Plavsic. It might even develop into something decent with Gaines and Jalen this year.

Perhaps. Hope so.

He has a very average shot and really is not explosive with the ball in his hands.

His parents are wrong. He's a wing. Too passive to play point.

Wings look to score. PGs look to pass. JJJ looks to pass too much. He had a great look at the rim tonight and at worst would have been fouled. He instead surprised O(R)N with a pass as Olivier appeared as if he was looking to get into rebounding position.

The crowd got frustrated and booed when JJJ was passing up open shots.

He looks to pass but can’t beat anyone off the dribble. Doesn’t really help anything.

His inability to drive to the hoop is almost shocking. I knew the shot wasn’t good but it’s appalling how bad his ability to attack the rim is.

Give it to Gaines. Barnes talked about him trying to drive it at a guy who out weighed him by a hundred pounds.

I think that he could drive on a similar sized defender. What he should be doing is posting up the smaller ones. He's young. Give it time.

JJJ just doesn't seem to have that aggressive/leadership/give-me-the-ball mentality. Sometimes it looks like he shoots it almost reluctantly.

I've said it before and got hammered on here but he is very slow with the ball. That's why he can't drive it to the basket. Speed is a must at the PG position. He is a wing and that's his future.

Hubbs 2.0. 5 star but not sure why. His performance is all star games should be all you need to see. Passive as hell.
He doesn’t have the quickness to play PG. His shot is flat. He needs to learn the three and develop a shot.

Are we really comparing JJJ to Hubbs after 12 games? Come on, @Roustabout, at least give the kid a whole year or 2, before u call him, Hubbs 2.0. Hubbs had a decent career at UT, considering the injuries, maybe not compared to his 5 star rating, but still productive. I wouldn't mind having Hubhs, this year. JJJ will play in the NBA, imo. May take 3 or 4 years, but that's cool with me

What the kid does or doesn’t do has NOTHING to do with me. I can only judge by what I see and what I see is a potentially good player, but not what we were led to believe. I think he would be a terrific three if he’d get aggressive. His ball handling would be invaluable as a slasher to the rim.

NBA? He may, he may not. That league is a league of alphas and right now he isnt one.

How much faster was Magic Johnson than JJJ?

Fast and fast with the ball are two different things. Magic could pretty well do whatever he wanted with a basketball including dribbling past someone. JJJ could get there in time but he is just too raw right now.

If you say so - seems like your narrative changes to fit your perception if my reading comprehension isn’t failing me.
