Pick a design that is simple. and as few colors as possible. that will save you money and its your 2 second introduction. the last thing you want is someone looking at your logo for a minute trying to figure it out. some of the fences looked too busy on a card imo. might just try vertical pickets instead of the crossed pattern

Where's the porch?

You know, for upper East Tennessee, I still like your first idea of using "sunny side of the street" some way.
All of the folk in that area who know of the Carter Family and local roots of that song would love it. The Carter Family Fold still operates bringing old time music to the area there in Hilton, Va just a hop and a skip from Bristol.

Here's a few more of the submissions in the contest. I think there are some definite contenders in this lot....

If you are talking about not taking anyone's advice I believe I've tried to take as much advice as possible on several outlets. I have spoken with friends, family, other real estate agents, and had this on 3 other forums that I frequent. I appreciate the feedback. There were several here that basically helped make my mind up not to use Alpha Omega.

Back Porch was a safe pick for the name because it works for the image we are trying to get out there. As far as the logo choices I have used some of the feedback across the various platforms to eliminate a few designs and actually put a few in contention that maybe I didn't like as much but others like.

I don't have my head in the sand and do appreciate the feedback. I won't claim to be the smartest guy in the world - I like hearing others opinions to help me make these decisions. At the end of the day to me it's all about projecting the best image possible and of course making this successful. If you could give me a name that I absolutely hated and guarantee that in 10 years I would grow to be one of the most successful groups in the state I would gladly smear whatever that name was across all advertising platforms and act like it was the best thing since sliced bread.

I wound up with around 500 total submissions. When the dust settled this is what we picked. Thanks for the input throughout this thread.

I like it.

You kept the sunny side feel and got the upper East Tennessee back porch which extends the feeling of 'home' instead of 'residence' to prospective buyers.

Good luck
