Without starting an argument, King did visit campus unofficially and if I'm not mistaken will probably take an official here. That's realistic enough for me. You are, however, entitled to your opinion. :hi:

"King added that he will definitely return to Knoxville in the near future for an official visit, but he's yet to nail down a firm date for that trip. He has decided that he will make his decision this fall and sign during the early period, which runs from Nov. 8-14."

Definitely be happy with the class, but probably disappointed still on losing hubbs.

As are you guys. I was just wondering what had changed that moved King from being an extreme longshot (per Galilee after his unofficial) to a realistic part of the class.

On a side note, King sure is taking his sweet time scheduling his officials for a guy that is announcing in November. Nunn, Iverson, the Harrison twins, Hubbs, Nichols, etc. are all announcing dates

He is a long shot, but so are most recruits in all honesty, you know that. I feel pretty good about our chances, and from things I've heard, our chanes keep improving every day.

You've seen dates for Hubbs?

That does seem odd.

Nothing has changed as far as I know. I just believe anything can happen in recruiting, so as long as he's taking an official here that's realistic enough for me.

The unofficial is what said alot IMO. That's your own dime, and he's only taken unofficials to Tennessee and Memphis, to me that says something. Now going to return for an OV just improves our chances IMO.

May be I'm getting him mixed up with Nichols, but I thought I had.

As for King, I guess different camps hear different things. From what is swirling in M town, he's closer to just outright committing to Memphis with each passing day. Who knows what to believe though.

Yea I think you are, cause I haven't seen any dates for hubbs. However Nichols has named a couple dates already.

Where'd you read that? I've been reading the Memphis sites recently since so many of our guys are from there, but I havent heard that.

As you said though, you'll hear different things from each camp. Part of that is "those in the know" only really relay info relevant to that school. So say those relaying info about king here are only really mentioning the good with Tennessee we don't hear the Memphis side, and same thing vice versa.

I was discussing it with a friend of mine who's brother is on the AAU scene in Memphis, so I didn't really read it anywhere. The new writer for MemphisRoar (Ben Rainwater, maybe) opined that King would may be pulling the trigger any day. That was around the time of King's unofficial to Memphis, after his trip to Knoxville.

Don't take offense to this (or you MemphisCanes), but after the whole Shannon Hale debacle I'm not gonna believe anything I hear from a poster on this board until it's officially reported. So for now, I'm gonna go by what I see King doing (unofficial visit, official visit, etc) and what is reported by official news outlets.

If you can provide a link to the "in the know" information then I will believe it.

That's really not a bad mindset, lots of time it's a setup to be letdown, I don't blame you one bit.
