Realistically, no fan of any major program should be happy after 5 straight losing seasons

Some people and fans are just delusional. Vols will never be what they once were, unfortunately.

I see you have USMC in your name. Is that what they teach in the Marine Corps? Take a negative outlook and have no hope for the future. Just go ahead and accept the fact that things really won't get any better. I thought the Marines were the ones that could overcome adversity and had the discipline to prevail in the end.

We will not stay down forever. Too many resources. We have what all the top schools have. Just bad hires sent us to the bottom. Happens to every school

and some fans want to brag about how they're a "realist" while throwing I told you so's at those who choose to watch the season play out. They're aren't enough seasons of UT football for me to spend my time being miserable watching

We may go 6 and 6, but we will be able to play with about anybody and with the East down we just might get 8 wins and be on our way back to the glory days of TENNESSEE FOOTBALL, we are coming and nobody can do a damn thing about it the BUTCHER is fixing to show the whole damn world what TENNESSEE FOOTBALL is really about its more than passion its LIFE.

I'm not sure that it's going to be a losing season. I do think they'll start out slow, but by the end of the year when some the freshmen start maturing, they'll be tough to beat.

With Tennessee's roster being in a bit of flux, I'd prefer to wait until after spring camp to make any predictions.

But, simply looking at what other teams in the league are bringing back, I don't think 4-4 in the SEC would be all that surprising for the Vols.

Where does this prognostication come from? Vols will never be like they were in the 40's? 50's? 90's? It's all cyclical. At some point, bammers will slide down. Vols will slide back up. As a general rule, you can only keep the big programs down so long.

I've stated this before but all you have to do is look at the 90s & early 2000s to see programs like LSU Oklahoma Alabama USC Miami Clemson Michigan State Auburn & others that were losing year after year & look at them now!
CYCLICAL ... Everything is cyclical!
