He didn't even interview any other coaches. He owed it to the fans and the program to do that. Everything shouldn't have been about what Pat wanted. Her desires should have been weighed but the good of the program was paramount.

Hart's not going to dirty his hands with this. He's going to stay hands-off, head-in-sand for as long as he can. He won't make a move until he's absolutely forced to and then it will take the next coach twice as long to try to dig out and resurrect a proud program allowed to slide much further than anyone ever believed possible.

Sound familiar? It should. It's how Hart handled Dooley-- and most other problems that don't involve sitting alone in his office poring over a spreadsheet of numbers.

with this much talent, all Holly has to do is stay in the locker room with the sniffles and they will get to the tourney.

Hart will probably throw half a million to a search firm (to get the heat off himself). Tell me again, what have Hart and Cheek done right???? at least compared to the multitude of problems they continue to create???

Only good hire for Hart was Butch and I think the Search Firm would do a better job of finding the next LadyVols head coach.

Hart wasn't prescient in hiring CBJ. CBJ really wanted the UT job and his agent lobbied aggressively. Hart was scrambling, and hiring CBJ was a quick close. Hart hates coaching changes. If Hart won't act, and Holly won't resign, it will cause needless damage to the program and the LV brand.

What Lady Vol brand? Hart has eliminated that, even on basketball uniforms, it's barely visible on the uniforms. He doesn't care who coaches , he just wants the women to quietly go away in all sports. He's an Ass to women

Actually Butch was 4th on his list , he fell into hiring him.otherwise he done nothing for Tennessee athletics, except mess with Tradition. The sooner he's gone the better we will be. We need Tennessee ppl that really care about this university, and realize what we stand for. Send him to bama, cheeks to A&M, n depetrio back to his State. They have caused enough embrassement for this school to last a life time.

Hell no, I want dave, jimmy n Joe gone, to be replaced with ppl that know what tennessee is all about, from football down, and all Lady's programs. They don't get it, at all

With Hart running things Tennessee Women's basketball will be on the same level with Alabama.:realmad::frown:

There's simply no way UT can or should fire Holly at this point in the season. She deserves the chance to get things on the right track. Still a long way to go. If UT canned her this early, I'm not sure I'd like the message it conveys to prospective replacements not to mention recruits and their families.

Having said that, I have a hard time seeing Holly as the ONLY problem with this team. Let's be honest here. Even a homer like Dearstone stated they didn't look like they were the least bit interested at times against VT. When do these scholarship players assume some responsibility for their performances? They've been playing for a long time. Surely they know how to pass, shoot, dribble, rebound, play defense, etc by now. Granted the schemes may not be all that grand, but they sure don't impact the effort and desire of the players. Maybe they don't like Holly, but do they not have pride in their school and/or their teammates? Not sure what the problem is, but what we're seeing on the floor is not all Holly. The players bear responsibility for a good bit of it as well. And for the record, I did not want her hired in the first place and do hope they replace her, but she's not in this alone. Players need to step up and play with some passion and pride. Put whatever gripe they have with each other and Holly aside and do what they were given a scholarship to do.

I think they may have quit on Holly and there's absolutely nothing you can do in that situation except can the head coach.

This isn't a Butch tread. It's Lady Vols, go to your football board.truth is Hart did fall into hiring Butch, 4th, on list if the others hadn't turned him down you wouldn't have Butch.Hart is inept at best, let's pack him up n send to Bama as a Christmas present
