I have a feeling that most of the players who get mentioned on this thread are not headed to UTK.

Because we do not seem bo getting any of the big names on the offense side of the ball. I'm glad we have a few top prosepcts on D but let's face reality, we need help on offense. If we can't land a 4 or 5 star QB then we are not going to get the receivers either.

Actually we have a 5* QB that has 4 years left on his scholarship. Crompton is not one to be overlooked.

We are not in the running for any 5* WRs anyway(I doubt we are on Hazelton's radar as there is too much competition at UT). We will likely sign a couple of pretty good 3*s this year. A couple with sincere interest have very nice upside. Riley Cooper (3*) and Andre Baskin (4*) look good. I've heard that Basking commited and we didn't accept (no idea why). I guess we could get Hawthorne but having seen him in person several times, he'd not be one I'd want. Anthony Jones out of Seguin, TX really likes us and may be a sleeper at WR.

McClendon's commitment, now a full commitment gives us one awesome OL prospect and a very good kid.

Darrius Myers will also play a big impact on the OL. We are definitely in the hunt for other big name OL like Micah Kia.

Brandon Warren seems to be coming around and may change his mind about FSU. Plus at RB we already have the Lindsey kid and apparently 4* Brandon Minor ( a bud of Duke Crews) seems to be leaning our way. Staphon Johnson is still out there as well and we have a shot.

How many more TE's do we need for the offensive side of the ball?

QB- Mustain (I'll give us a 25% shot at him), Arvell Nelson and Isiah Williams are still on our board. Any of the 3 would be a good addition.

IMO we are waiting for some of the huge names to decide their fate before the chips start falling. With CPF, Troop, Luke and Adkins out beating the bushes, everyting will work out good on the offensive side.

What we should be concerned about IMO are LBs and DBs. We will do well on the offensive side of the ball.

What about the trio from Ohio? Anyone have any good insight about Arvell Nelson, Robert Rose and Raymond Small?

And the way things are going I wouldn't write off those verbal commitments either. Who knows what in-home visits are going on right now with those already committed. We could steal a few before all is said and done.

I say just wait until Signing Day. There will be many changes and who knows what we will walk away with. We usually don't peak until the right moment anyway.

We have no idea if he can even throw anymore. Also, I do not like that creepy peachfuzz mustache thing on his upper lip. Hoping that Ainge will turn it around is futile IMO. We have to get someone in there to inspire the rest of the team.

So Crompton will not be any good because of his mustache? I guess Ainge will suck because of his earrings then. Hell if that's the way folks look at football players they should cheer for Army, Navy or the Citadel. One minute we want 5* athletes (who often look like gypsies or pirates in their hip-hop wardrobes) and then complain about the way they look. That is just hillarious.

Trooper visited LeMarcus Thompson a LB from GA. Arkansas is also in the running for him. We need to look at a neighboring HS as well. Stephenson HS has Marcus Ball.

Please name the last QB with a mustache to win the BCS championship or a superbowl...I rest my case.

Didn't Mr. Tee Martin have a nice line growing on his upper lip and another one along his chin?

I can only come up with three of Superbowl winning QBs that wore the mustache. Ken Stabler from the 1977 Raiders and I am not sure that we want to try and replicate their team image if we are trying to reinstill discipline. Doug Williams from the '88 Redskins. Jeff Hostetler with the '91 Giants. I know that Aikman and Kurt Warner were know to grow out from time to time so maybe one or both of them played in the Superbowl with a mustache.

As for the BCS winning QBs I'll let someone else do the research. I have looked at a couple of old photos of Tee and I can't tell what is going on there.

stabler, bradshaw, farve had a face full of stubble. But if you base a QB's success and ability on that, please get the recruiting coordinators job at an SECE school.

Tom Brady wears a beard and stash sometimes. So does Brett Favre. If the kid's arm is good, I'll let his momma worry about his facial hair :post-20645-1119625378:

On second glance...

Martin, Brady, Favre, Stabler, Bradshaw, Williams, Hostetler...

Maybe we should take our kids' razors away

I felt we needed to take it in another direction for awhile.
