Really not surprising we aren’t top 15. We got handled by UF and our best win is a 3 loss A&M team. A lil surprised to see a 2 loss team ranked that high this early in the season tho

These lists are interesting. I’d feel pretty good about Tennessee’s chances against any of those teams on a neutral field.

The top three (Bama, Georgia and OSU) are the only ones I would have doubts against.

I conclude from this you have to have a super elite roster to truly be able to rely on talent to win you most games.

Just want to say...I hope everybody knows how much of an accomplishment it was by our Ol and RBs today...running like that, against that defensive front..is a big deal.

I didn't think we could do it that well...I am super impressed.

Cooper Mays. It's been a different OL since his return. I really underestimated just how important he is to our OL.

He is paid to win football games. He will start who he thinks gives him the best chance. That is the only data we have. Of course he won't tell us. All we have to base our opinions on are his actions. If you think Heupel is 23-9 since he's been here because he's lucky, I don't know what to tell you.

It’s this simple, if the team revolts because you start someone over who the team feels should be the right person, you will lose and lose the team.

And did I say that? I said we are winning in spite of Milton because of good defense and a great running attack.

90/10 would be my assessment.

Low point of hospitality and sportsmanship was the crowd around us booing the other team and booing obviously hurt players. It was embarrassing.

High point was the Pride of the Southland Band playing the Aggies fight song to welcome them. I was very impressed by that and so were all the Aggies.

They did get really tired of Rocky Top.

It's always been a tradition for the POTS to serenade the opposing team with their fight song. At least back to the days of Dr. Julian. I remember doing it during my time marching.

I'm going to miss the image quality of CBS broadcasts. Even ESPN's marquee games look like crap compared to CBS.

The Big 10 came out better than the SEC with the TV deals. FOX for Big Noon, NBC 2nd choice with primetime slot, and CBS 3rd best game with the afternoon slot.

Meanwhile, the SEC is stuck with ESPN and the family of networks.

Coach needs to get Milton and Thornton to see a sports psychologist (and maybe a hypnotist) several times this week. Maybe that'll turn those practice All-Americans into stars on game day. Really hoping they turn a corner soon...would make this team a real contender.

Agreed. I think super elite rosters also insulate you from bad losses. UGA should probably have dropped 4-5 games over the past 2 seasons, but they have enough talent to get themselves over the finish line with Ws. They can sort of "turn it on" when needed and win.

It's why last year was so amazing and why the Florida loss this year isn't that concerning IMO. We don't have elite talent yet, which means we are susceptible to bad losses every once in a while, especially on the road. The fact that we only had one last year is incredible. I hope people don't discount it if we beat UK and Mizzou on the road and our only "bad" loss this year in Florida.

Majority were complimentary, although many complained about Neyland being outdated. FWIW, almost every big college football venue is outdated, but UT will slowly get it updated with its renovations.

CBS does have the highest quality broadcast. Nessler is good but Danielson sucks. And I'll never get used to hearing that CBS intro for a big 10 team.
