I doesn't matter and who cares. They're gonna make an excuse if we beat them anyway. Example: aTm fans are saying the referees gave Tennessee the game for the love of God.
That’s rich…. Being at the game and seeing multiple PI’s not being called on THEM… I’m not talking 50/50 PI’s. I’m talking clear ones.

We're not looking past it any more than you are looking past the fact that UGA and bama are vulnerable, have not played well, and can be beat if we play one of the better games we're capable of playing.

Every negative that you point out, a positive can be said in the other direction. It's more likely we lose to bama and UGA than it is we beat them, but we have a legitimate shot to beat them. It won't take some incredible miracle to beat them. We have the ability with the coaches and players already here. It won't take some act of God, we just need to play to our capability and them (UGA bama) to play how they have all year.

You are only looking at one side, the reasons why we will lose, instead of both sides. There are just as many reasons why we could win as there are reasons we could lose.

We are more likely to finish 9-3 than 8-4 or 11-1, but the point is we have a legitimate shot at 10-2 or 11-1 with the team and coaches we have right now.
Welp...I hope I am stupid and you are right.

there were 3 textbook DPI that did not get called

I really don't understand what the crew could have been told to ref the game like that. The ball is in the air, the A&M players are grabbing all over the WR, yet no flag comes out.

It seemed like our staff got in the refs' ears because they did throw a couple flags later on when similar instances happened.

I don't know if our WR have to go full Euro soccer player and completely sensationalize contact, but we have to have an answer for opponents coaching their DBs to grab if the route goes deeper than 10 yards. The refs are absolutely not giving us DPI or holding calls, especially early on.
Exactly. This is why I think the Milton drama is a little overblown. He made a couple of major mistakes this weekend, but the blatant missed calls and drops are really affecting the overall perception of his play.

My fingers are still crossed.

Georgia's passing attack without Bowers is going to be interesting to see I just wish we were playing them sooner.

They'll have plenty of time to figure things out before coming to Neyland.
Bye
Florida
vs Missouri
vs Ole Miss
at Tennessee

We do get them at a good time of year in their schedule as we'll be the last game of a grueling 4 game stretch and a road game.

They might lose two of those game before coming to UT.

Look at keyton and Sampson, both within 3 yards of each other and NEITHER coming back to get open. Sampson comes back and he is open and gets first down. Blame on both JM and receivers.
Good point.

Milton was probably waiting for them to do what they should do, until it was too late.

That's a WR problem, and a QB indecisiveness problem, if so.

Reports saying docs recommending tightrope surgery for Brock Bowers
This affects UGA passing game a lot. He leads in receiving on the team and the next closest player is 234 yards behind. Also has 10 more receptions than anyone else and has the same amount of TDs than the next 3 WR combined.

I will say, their back up TE is 5th in receiving this year. 13 catches for 160 yards.. so not terrible. Not Brock Bowers though.

Joe throws for 250+ and we win.

Joe throws for 100 again and we lose.

Bama game comes down to Joe. @TrippieRedd get this man the good stuff and calm his a** down. We got a game to win.
I don't see this being a high scoring game on either side.

To be honest, if we can contain Milroe and not let him escape the pressure they won't score more than 14-17 points.

But it's his escapability that scares me in this game. We didn't have to worry about that with Max Johnson and even then he scored a scrabling rushing TD. If Milroe can climb the pocket and escape or we don't hold our lanes then it will ultimately slow down the rush from us and give them plenty of extra plays and first downs. And then he will take shot plays and connect on a couple of them.

On offense for us, it comes down to staying ahead of the chains. If we can run and get to second and 5, 3rd and short we will move the ball. If we get into early 3rd and longs we will punt.

I don't think Joe needs to throw for a certain number of yards, but he needs to be effecient with the passing game - get first downs, 1-2 chunk plays, and no INTs.

For us to win against either of them...Milton will have to play a really good game, and the running game will have to at least hold its own, while the defense will have to continue to play the way they have been playing. The crap passing game we've seen all year will not win either of those games

At this point...after what we have seen all year from Joe and the recievers...that's a long shot. You may not want to call it a "miracle" or an "act of God"...but it is definitely a long shot, especially against Crappabama at Tuscalooser.

I have said and will say again...we have the talent to make teams pay dearly with the pass, but at this point we have not done it at all...I have almost zero confidence that they will...but...I do have that hope.

You're also dead right..Bama and UGA are vulnerable...but they are both less vulnerable than us thanks to our passing attack totally disappearing into a black hole of weirdness.

I think Ole Miss can beat them and it's going to be a game the Rebels need to win to have a shot at Atlanta.

Missouri is fool's gold a bit, they have a good offense but their defense is bad. They've given up at least 21 in all but 2 games and that's with them playing Vandy and Kentucky already. Their game Saturday against South Carolina could be a shoot out if Beamer hasn't completely lost his team.

Seen other reports that just say he’s expected to miss 4-6 weeks…that means he might be back the time he plays us
Honestly, that tight rope surgery is a last ditch effort to get the high ankle healed quicker... but as we saw with Tillman it doesn't always work.

He could try come back in time for our game but likely he won't be ready or effective if he does come back.

Best case scenario, UGA barely beats UF (preferably in a hideously ugly and demoralizing game on both sides of the ball), gets beat up on both sides of the ball, and then comes in to lose to Mizzu (in a putrid, ugly, demoralizing game on both sides of the ball) and then again to Tennessee (who's won out).

Pearce and Jospehs have done a good job getting to the QB.

The key this week is staying in their lane and not going past the QB. Don't give him a lane to get out.
