You do have to question the lack of pass interference early on.

In the A&M game it all worked itself out through ref incompetence. We still got the win so we aren't going to go full crybaby about it.

Even still, this offense has to start strong and fast, and if the crews are not calling PI and defensive holding in the 1st quarter, it keeps us in these rock fight games. This has happened a couple of times this year. We'd pull away and Milton/WRs would have so much more confidence if they were calling the games straight up early on.

I think this goes back to 2022 vs UGA film. They were grabbing all over us too, and it's not as much of a 50/50 shot to get a flag as you would think. The refs either turn the blind eye or are complete idiots. If I were an opposing DC I would instruct my DBs to do all the holding and grabbing that you thought you could reasonably get away with. You'd think the refs would call DPI more often but they just aren't.

I really don't understand what the crew could have been told to ref the game like that. The ball is in the air, the A&M players are grabbing all over the WR, yet no flag comes out.

It seemed like our staff got in the refs' ears because they did throw a couple flags later on when similar instances happened.

I don't know if our WR have to go full Euro soccer player and completely sensationalize contact, but we have to have an answer for opponents coaching their DBs to grab if the route goes deeper than 10 yards. The refs are absolutely not giving us DPI or holding calls, especially early on.

I just want to beat them. Don’t care who they have dressed out. I live in GA, and I am tired of them running their mouths, and really didn’t appreciate some of the antics from those who I am closer to after they won last year. I’m ready to win and throw it back in their faces.

If Bowers' injury is significant, I think the only way we see him is if the game is for the East. Otherwise Kirby would just rest him until ATL.

I have heard a lot of NFL players say... officials could call holding or PI on about every play.... including college football as well.... officials pick and choose when to throw flags ...last night perfect example two PI in a row at end of Giants and Bills game... officials chose to go home on last one.. Lol..

The first DPI against us was the receiver slowing down as he approached the sideline, and our defender tripping over his feet.

Their defenders repeatedly grab our receivers' hands and pull them down/away. Shrug...

offensive players get away with it a lot too…. They allow some hand fighting…. i would teach them to grab/hold as long as it’s not too blatant…. you will get away with it more times than not.

Just like holding in the offensive line…. that is coached from 8 yrs old on.

Eh, that is weak sauce though. If we beat UGA without half their players it takes absolutely nothing away from the win.

I mean seriously, which is better…a win against a less than full strength team or a loss against a full strength team?

Not that any of this matters, UGA without Bowers is still more talented than anybody they will play.
