Fight For Your Right To Party is very dated but very pertinent to the mission of what the 3rd-to-4th quarter transition should represent.

To the team: Win the game so we can all party. If lesser opponent, finish the game out so we can all party.

To the fans: you must continue being loud as hell to ensure the win, and thus, party.

The premise is simple -- if you want to party, you must win. If you want to win, you must fight. In turn, you must fight for your right to party.
Good God no.

Must not be familiar with the Grateful Dead. Among the lyrics “ Tennessee Tennessee ain’t no place I rather be
Baby want you carry me back to Tennessee “

Yes I am an old deadhead😃
I vaguely remember we used to use it for something in the early to mid 2000's but only in pregame, even before the band came out I think.

Good lord... some of ya'll have forgotten how frustrating Tee Martin was if we lose just 1 game in '98 he wouldn't even be mentioned around here.
He was really bad the first half of the season. He improved and had Peerless Price to depend on for those deep balls.

The 99 team was probably the most talented team we have ever had, but the loss of Price on offense was noticed.

Bottom line though Milton doesn’t have a fraction of the talent that was there in 98 and 99.

He always threw a pretty deep ball though. Usually pretty accurate to. Tee would also run if things broke down without hesitation most of the time.

Memphis folks.

Ate at a striking B&B yesterday, 'Eggxactly'. Truly a beautiful venue, replete with locks & bolted down tables. The ambience was serene. The dance of the blue lights from MPD bouncing off the iron bars over the windows, is truly a work of art.

Seriously, place is in really bad shape. But if you are ever brave enough, go eat there. Best brekkie ive ever had.
My man - your shorthand has become much more difficult to translate. I like to scroll quickly, and I don’t appreciate that you make me pay attention and focus on what you’ve written. Not cool.

There was a post within the last page or two (the post to which he responded) that showed the top teams in this metric right now. It explained that it was yards per play on offense minus yards per play given up on defense.
Exactly. It's very simple. Just go to CFBSTATS.com and you'll see those on each team's front page since 2009.

We're also leveraged on this metric, because we run more plays...more possessions...we get more out of our +YPP margins than slower teams.

Thing is...I'm trying to think of the last superstar QB that "looked like a beast"

There's basically just Cam Newton...oh and Jared Lorenzen 👀

Give me Patty Mahomes or even Kyler Murray. A little squirt with an arm, legs, quick brain, and a quick trigger.
Ryan Leaf at Washington St...big guy...

I heard the story of Tennessee Jed went back to a time that some jackass politician in TN basically banned them from being to play there (or tried?).

Never underestimate the stupidity of the TN legislature...even Dolly had to rip them new ones 😏

Pain will subside in a couple months but the tendons will not be fully healed for a long time. A player with a high ankle wears a brace or is heavily taped for months. Tight rope is a brace.
The original comment I made said nothing about when he “would be healed”. It was solely about when he could be on the field again. You’ve somehow turned this into a “when he will be healed” conversation. Point is, doesn’t matter when he will be “healed.” Uga gonna trot him out there as soon as he can go, regardless of how healed or how much pain he’s in. So like I said, not getting my hopes up that he misses our game.

Slightly before my memory time outside of UT football...but iirc he seemed like merely a big guy.

I think of Andrew Luck as a big QB too. But nothing of a "freak" big guy.

Some of the hype of Milton is he looked the part, not just a big statue. Even if...it's never been his problem. Similar to HB15, just doesn't seem to be good where needed most for this offense...instincts, mental game, able to run things 100 mph and make decisions and throws under that quickness play after play, whatever you want to call it. Vs Hendon who had it
