Also very true. That said, Ohio is state controlled too though, and they see significantly more OWA and WSR than VA, while barely getting any Blantons. For whatever reason, BT allocates those core expressions in varying ways across states.Yeah in about 2-3 years, Buffalo trace will be sitting on the shelf with everything else. I doubt it will with Blantons, EHT, Weller
Part of the issue with it nationwide is some states are control states (VA like you mention) while others are not (TN)
$35 usually. They gave me a discount for buying 3 because they hadn't sold any in months but the distributor kept sending them bottles because the distributor was overstocked on them.I have a friend in Michigan and they do drops just like we did today and don’t have trouble selling it. The stores you’ve been to that can’t sell it, what are they pricing their eagle rare at lol
Ya BT was $24 at grocery stores in CA a couple weeks ago when I was there. My local liquor stores haven't gotten a single bottle all year. This is especially the case with BT product in general. For example, VA gets a ton of Blantons. Always has, and even when our allocated system turned into random drops at random times of the day, Blantons was still plentiful. Some states, barely get it at all. Average bourbon that people go nuts for, but it's not even one of BT's most highly allocated products, and yet distribution from state to state varies widely. Some states are also plentiful with Buffalo Trace (literally sits in grocery stores in Cali) while others have it as an allocated item. It's ridiculous, but with their production ramping up, I believe that just like the craft beer boom, the bubble will eventually burst.
