175 in the first half was nice and a couple of great catches but in the end when we needed it in the second half, it just didn't happen. I know there had to be one but I can't remember one pass inside the hash marks for more than 5 yards. That is something we either don't have the confidence we can do or we simply chose not to but it seems to be missing this year for some reason. We had 271 yards passing
We won't have a better idea. Some of y'all act like Nico is the final answer. More than likely will have 3-4 new starters on the OL. Squirrel the only for sure threat at receiver. Bru may not be back. Have to replace 2 TEs. Wright is probably gone. Defense should be even better. It's not cut and dry.We will have a better idea, probably would help show whether we take 1 or 2 qbs in the portal, space providing. We already need one qb in the portal, cause I would hope Huep wouldn’t be complacent with having only 2 scholarship qbs on the roster
Yeah, officials dictated the game in the 2nd half, lets bench Joe.We scored zero points in the second half. Zero. It’s like this place crowns Joe for good plays or a decent half. Yet struggles so much and it is forgotten like it didn’t happen.
I was thrilled he played decently the first half but he still sucked it up second half and it’s like let’s keep playing that guy. I don’t get it.
After the UF game it's was hard seeing this team going 9-3 . The A&M and USCjr wins were big. Still won't be surprised if we lose to uga but going 4-1 the rest of the way would be huge. You and me both, Enki. Team just has to choose to let this disappointment galvanize them. You’d have to be smoking some damn good stuff to not look at a 9-3 (or even 10-2) year as a hell of a feat with this group. Keep chopping wood.
We had 2 TDs denied by crooked calls in the first quarter. That was the red zone "problem." On the first, blatant holding on Bama rendered our receiver unable to catch a perfect throw in the endzone. The second TD that the Birmingham Alabama office stole was also PI. And there were many other cases.Like I said inconsistent. We had 20 points(shoulda been more) and 275 yards in the first half vs bama. A bad offense doesn’t do that
I will agree we’re a bad redzone offense
So you would rather go 7-5 or 8-4 with Joe or get the same record with Nico just to not bench him? Nico needs all the reps he can get to win next year. The longer he sits on the bench, the more time he needs next year to get accumulated.Yeah, officials dictated the game in the 2nd half, lets bench Joe.
There was bad missed calls absolutely…. We’ve been a bad redzone offense all yearWe had 2 TDs denied by crooked calls in the first quarter. That was the red zone "problem." On the first, blatant holding on Bama rendered our receiver unable to catch a perfect throw in the endzone. The second TD that the Birmingham Alabama office stole was also PI. And there were many other cases.
You can look at the game thread and it will refresh your memory. I seem to recall you yourself noting these things at the time.
There is a weird psychological effect whereby the truly historic level of game rigging in the second half seems to have obstructed memories of how outstandingly much rigging occurred in the first half.
It was in the late first half when I was called by a non-Vol fan relative in FL who said the first half was the most one-sided officiating he had ever seen in his entire life.
That's because the second half hadn't yet broken all-time rigging records.
Maybe to you. You are nothing more than a fan. I guarantee it means a lot to the players who have worked to turn this team into something more than a 3-7 team.So you would rather go 7-5 or 8-4 with Joe or get the same record with Nico just to not bench him? Nico needs all the reps he can get to win next year. The longer he sits on the bench, the more time he needs next year to get accumulated.
Who cares about what bowl game we get now with the playoff. It means nothing.
