That was the most crooked game in the history of games, and there is absolutely nothing we could have done to overcome that level of rigging. If you had told me in January 2021 that we would go 9-3 or better in year 3 of Heupel, I would have gladly signed up for that considering I had never seen a 9-win regular season.

He took over a program with impending sanctions, 20+ players in the transfer portal, and borderline fan apathy. Acting like we are too good for 9-3 (or better) in year 3 is insane. There are very few teams where it is playoff or bust every year, and we are not one of those teams currently. Benching a QB for no reason other than preparing for next year is a terrible message to send to this football team and the seniors who helped stop the decade-plus dumpster fire.
