You gain confidence knowing where the blitzes are coming from, which receiver will be open and in what window. You don't have to do all the extra stuff. You don't have to go through the progressions. Yeah, he his throws he didn't normally make, but that confidence probably helped him.My hunch is that stealing defensive signals is not going to gain you much if anything (for ScJr). I remember watching the game and thinking Rattler couldn't miss on anything he threw. He threw dimes all night, and our D acted like they could not tackle anyone. It did fell "off" as you put it be Carolina had not come close to being that good all year long to that point.
Just because an offense is looked over doesn't mean it's "nothing". It's still an offense, and if there is corruption and injustice attached to the offense, then that makes it even MORE of a "something".Its much ado about nothing.
Tennessee paid players, which is now legal. And something happened, because its us.
Saturday's game is perfect microcosm of our larger issue. Players getting manhandled, yet we get called for a lber arm getting raised.
So, yes! I fervently, ardently, unequivocally stand by my comment. It is absolutely much ado about nothing. I despise the victim card, yet here we are.
Because its Michigan, and because we are Tennessee, and it impacted us. NOTHING, Nothing will happen punitively. NCAA would fine us 10,000,000.00 if roles were reversed.
And we would smile, bend over, and spread.
Just win.
Stealing defensive signals would be more valuable than stealing offensive signals. With offensive signals, even if you know the play, the QB still has the ball and can improvise, etc.My hunch is that stealing defensive signals is not going to gain you much if anything (for ScJr). I remember watching the game and thinking Rattler couldn't miss on anything he threw. He threw dimes all night, and our D acted like they could not tackle anyone. y'all fight the good fight, then.Just because an offense is looked over doesn't mean it's "nothing". It's still an offense, and if there is corruption and injustice attached to the offense, then that makes it even MORE of a "something".
There's a big difference in saying "this is much ado about nothing", and saying that it is, "much ado about something, that will probably result in no action by the powers that be; but hell, maybe if enough people make much ado about it, it'll focus more light on the injustices".
That @Nash_Vol97 guy is absolutely correct there. Smart guy.Couple of snippets from the game thread that night. The cliff notes are: our defense was totally lost and looked defeated. They had guys open on every single play, and seemed to hit the open man every time. They were always able to run the ball away from the attack point. They picked up every blitz.
Hendon and the WRs struggled with the coverages. Our WRs had to make contested catches.
None of it added up. It could've been high-level execution and prep work by USCjr but if it comes out they had our signs then I won't be shocked based on what we saw that night.

It is simplistic in meaning...and there is no point in long winded flowery argument or coming up with a different retort every damn time. This message seems to be on 'repeat'. Is McGill broken?
