All it took for me was walking through the line getting autographs for my son at an O&W game to figure out butch is a tool.I believe it, Butch was a pyscho.
Went to summer camp practice one year with a VFL and his son when Antone Davis was VFL director. Antone and the VFL were on the same team together. We checked in at the table and got our passes. Butch spotted us standing on the sideline and gave Antone the third degree about us. First off, why was he looking at us instead of his players and practice? Second, why was he questioning Antone at all, we had our badges on standing with an authorized program rep? Third, the VFL I was with was already known to Butch. They had talked with each other several times at several events within the past few months and years.
Yet, three pro scouts were at practice roaming around doing whatever.
A complete moron.
I have been in several football programs as a very distant employee to the HC and I can tell you for a fact that the HC knows everything that goes on in his program.
EVERYTHING.
Because 2 are dummy and 1 is the real signal. If they're being scouted and studied it may take a while but figuring out who's the real signal caller and when shouldn't be that hard to decipher given time. SC didn't have to take time to figure this out since it was given to themI'm all about the conspiracy theory. I was telling my daughter about it last night. We refer to Tennessee's signalers as "the Alvin, Simon Theodore guys", so I used that as the point of reference to her in explaining the theory. She asked me, "even if South Carolina knew our signs, how would they know which one of the three was signaling in the actual call during the game". I wasn't sure how to answer that...took a little wind out of my sails![]()
Hadn't thought of that but that would make signal stealing easier since they have similar signals you could figure out what the entire play is by common signalsIm pretty sure that our 3 signalers are for each position group, ex: green: rb/qbs, blue: OL blocking scheme, Red: wr’s. Could be wrong though, but the signals are all very similar so itd make sense for them to be signals to separate positions
Aren't you supposed to be at a Dorman pep rally? I still think there's something fishy about that offensive performance. If we had laid an egg and they beat us 24-21 or something like that, I could wrap my mind around it. But they scored 6 against Florida followed up by 63 against us. No lo comprende. That’s because thinking sign stealing is what had South Carolina boat racing us last year was always a cope
Swain said he did a deep dive on all of the refs this weekend. What's the refs name?
*I swear, I've been "googling" referee for TN vs KY 2023 for 20 minutes and can't find it. That shouldn't be hard to find. They should post the WHOLE officiating crew, along with the other game information prior to gameday (kickoff time, location, radio/TV options, weather).
The SEC needs to have transparency in who's officiating any ball game. I should be able to easily locate all the conference officials on the SEC website. I know the announcers, the coaches, and the players, why don't I know all the officials prior to the game? I noticed last week, only the white hat had his name shown. They used to list the whole crew.![]()
There was one I know from Mt. Juliet that played at UT back in the 80’s, but he retired a few years ago. I’m not aware of any others.Where are the refs that are from Knoxville and have kids that go to UT
Rocky Goode was the last one from Tennessee that I can remember. I think he retired about 10 years ago, maybe more. There was one I know from Mt. Juliet that played at UT back in the 80’s, but he retired a few years ago. I’m not aware of any others.
I’m hopeful Cutcliffe can help turn the hiring process around, but Sankey still gives me pause.
Exactly. Down to the chef, chaplain, admins, etc. There are a lot of jobs that probably shouldn't be associated with HC staffs (they should be regular university/college related jobs) that are completely associated with staffs. Jobs that completely surprised me. Changing HCs is a lot like bringing a new governor or POTUS in. It's not just the top job but damn near everything but the cleaning staff that changes and even that changes if they're particular about it.
Johnny Hibbett is this guy’s name.Rocky Goode was the last one from Tennessee that I can remember. I think he retired about 10 years ago, maybe more.
Yep, let’s play Bama with a healthy Pili, Mays, Slaughter and Mincey on neutral field.beating UGA would be another monstrous showcase for Neyland Stadium and the University. to say nothing of what it would do for the program, recruiting, current players to get the Atlanta experience
I'm not so sure we wouldn't have something ready for that ass if we see Bama again anyway
Again, anything to ruin the naysayers' day
"Oh, Tennessee can't do this, same old Vols, hurr hurr hurr"
You guys unironically talk about dorman more than I doAren't you supposed to be at a Dorman pep rally? I still think there's something fishy about that offensive performance. If we had laid an egg and they beat us 24-21 or something like that, I could wrap my mind around it. But they scored 6 against Florida followed up by 63 against us. No lo comprende.
Consider national rankings as context though when you're looking at directional movement YoY.2021 = We are on the left and opponents penalties to the right. Basically level in 2021

2022 = Opponents were penalized more than us, but we were still penalized more than 2021.

This year = We are better in every facet of the game except passing and will have the same number of penalties as last year when the bowl game is played. But look at the disparity from us being flagged vs opponents. This is what statisticians call a major red flag. For those of you calling people names for being conspiracy theorists, you are arguing against facts and data. That is not smart.

We are on pace for 104 penalties against for 872 yards. Roughly same as last year with a better running game, defense, and special teams. Our opponents are on pace for 70 penalties for 529 yards. How is this even possible?
