As a father of three girls I’m not a fan of this line of thinking. I’ve come to conclude women’s sports are just altogether different sports than men’s, and shouldn’t be compared. Given the differences in God-given athletic ability between men and women, women have to employ different strategies and tactics to win against other women. I find no joy or entertainment in men beating up on women athletes. I know they can and that doesn’t bother me, but I don’t see a need to do it or see it.

Just enjoy women’s sports for what they are, not for what they are not. For example, if you don’t like women’s basketball because you don’t see a bunch of 6’10” 275 pound women shoving each other around and dunking all over each other, then don’t watch.
Seems to me that you guys are missing his point while you make his point. Did you watch the video Chelsea called dumbass? His point is (y'all wait for it) that they are different sports, and one of them doesn't have fans.

It's WNBA that make false equivalency comparisons when they point out the pay disparity between WNBA and NBA. They're inherently claiming to be the same sport. Dave Chappel made the same point in standup and the left tried to cancel him for it.

OK. They are two different sports. The point Clay is making is that the Women's version doesn't have many fans. The reason they don't have many fans is because of what's perceived as the quality of competition. If it's not a lower quality of play, and is instead great quality of different play, then... Here's a radical idea...

If they don't want the comparisons, then stop making them, ladies.

Watching the A&M usc game.

These announcers are actually really good.
Louis Riddick and Mark Jones.

It sucks that we can’t have them as the announcers for our games.

My thought is that it is super quiet. Not much from the crowd compared to our games, but I guess their season is off the tracks from expectations.

Now I follow you there - when the left wing proponents of women’s sports try to make them equal to men’s sports, I’m in full disagreement. They are very different - in the same way men and women are very different physiologically and just about every other way. I just think the point could be made better than to outright trash women’s sports.

I always wondered why they don't make it 9' baskets with a slightly smaller radius (since the ball is also a bit smaller.)

Decrease the overall size of the court and slightly reduce the 3pt range and the foul shot. Just scale everything down to match the avg height difference.

I wonder if games would be more exciting like that?

Nah it'd still be like watching kids play.

I get you, but stand on the idea that women's sports are setting themselves up for that with their comparisons and the socials expectations that they are trying to saddle on others. Clay Travis is merely answering in kind to an extent. And he makes a valid point in the video. As women's sports are decrying the evil men's culture that furthers this pay disparity, they have almost no fans (where the money comes from) and the few fans they do have are men. Women aren't supporting them.

The "this product sucks" issue isn't Clay's fault. It's the WNBA's. Imagine someone wrapped a garlic fried pickle as a candy bar, and you bit into it. You'd say that candy bar sucked. Then imagine you went out to dinner and ordered an appetizer of garlic fried pickles. Wow! Those are pretty good!

Is it your fault for saying the candy bar sucked?

I don’t think Clay is going at women’s sports as much as he is going at the idea of trans men playing women’s sports. It is a statement that says biological men are physically superior, so much so that a teenage male can beat a professional woman. Maybe I’m missing his point, but in a roundabout way it’s a statement for women’s rights, keeping biological MEN out of women’s sports.

Trampolines, man. Let's do it right.

Exactly.

The level of importance of sports according to Clay:

- Men's Sports

-Womens sports (when trans folks are a part of the clicks algo)

- Womens sports with no social issues surrounding it...worth little 😒

It's sad the views of such mouthbreathers (or acting mouthbreather in his case).
