gonna reply by paragraph to each of yours:The last paragraph seems like an attempt to engage in discussion, noted. Perhaps I do not listen as closely as I should. Or, much like other poster stated, the water is under the bridge. Watching Titans play is painful. I want so badly for them to playing exciting, inspired football. But its two yards and a cloud of dust, win by a FG.
I see them as being a completely untapped entity. They have legions of TN, Candy, and other sports fans in TN, who are tired of same thing. New GM may or may not correct it. Watching them on draft day, hoping against hope they they will do something outside of that 4 cornered box, is excrutiating.
I think what is so frustrating with them is 'what could be?' Both from a marketing and a fan perspective. Perhaps if they fully embraced the 'we are a TN team.' The throw backs to Houston do NOT help their case.
Until something changes, us 'lay' fans will continue to roll our eyes, and move on. I'm just not invested in watching a **** product.
It’s not always fun watching them play, but the NFL is just like that. Part of it is probably Vrabel’s style vs a young innovative coach like McDaniel with the Dolphins. Part of it is skill position talent drafted/signed by previous gm
The current GM had a big part in the 49ers roster construction. As fans, that’s what we are hoping for with AAS bringing him on. He and vrabel are supposedly both in sync as to the vision of the team. Vrabel has stated multiple times he wants to get faster team wide. I’m not disagreeing about being untapped. Part of the issue is so many damn transplants in nashville/franklin/Hendersonville areas that already root for other teams.
Third paragraph I disagree. I personally don’t care for the Houston heritage, but based on other true fans and friends I talk to, everybody loves the oilers traditions, especially the uniforms, so I will follow along and support it. Part of that is the Titans team that went to the Super Bowl were all oilers as well.
The last part just screams you aren’t really a fan to begin with. You say this about the titans yet you watched 15 excruciating years of Vol football and posted on this board for half of it while still supporting with your time, energy, and money. That’s just my opinion. We, as titans fans, need people to quit being casuals and support the team good or bad. Criticize where it deserves, but don’t be fair weathered. All that to say, you just may not be a nfl fan at all, which is fine
