Recruiting Football Talk VII

The last paragraph seems like an attempt to engage in discussion, noted. Perhaps I do not listen as closely as I should. Or, much like other poster stated, the water is under the bridge. Watching Titans play is painful. I want so badly for them to playing exciting, inspired football. But its two yards and a cloud of dust, win by a FG.

I see them as being a completely untapped entity. They have legions of TN, Candy, and other sports fans in TN, who are tired of same thing. New GM may or may not correct it. Watching them on draft day, hoping against hope they they will do something outside of that 4 cornered box, is excrutiating.

I think what is so frustrating with them is 'what could be?' Both from a marketing and a fan perspective. Perhaps if they fully embraced the 'we are a TN team.' The throw backs to Houston do NOT help their case.

Until something changes, us 'lay' fans will continue to roll our eyes, and move on. I'm just not invested in watching a **** product.
gonna reply by paragraph to each of yours:

It’s not always fun watching them play, but the NFL is just like that. Part of it is probably Vrabel’s style vs a young innovative coach like McDaniel with the Dolphins. Part of it is skill position talent drafted/signed by previous gm

The current GM had a big part in the 49ers roster construction. As fans, that’s what we are hoping for with AAS bringing him on. He and vrabel are supposedly both in sync as to the vision of the team. Vrabel has stated multiple times he wants to get faster team wide. I’m not disagreeing about being untapped. Part of the issue is so many damn transplants in nashville/franklin/Hendersonville areas that already root for other teams.

Third paragraph I disagree. I personally don’t care for the Houston heritage, but based on other true fans and friends I talk to, everybody loves the oilers traditions, especially the uniforms, so I will follow along and support it. Part of that is the Titans team that went to the Super Bowl were all oilers as well.

The last part just screams you aren’t really a fan to begin with. You say this about the titans yet you watched 15 excruciating years of Vol football and posted on this board for half of it while still supporting with your time, energy, and money. That’s just my opinion. We, as titans fans, need people to quit being casuals and support the team good or bad. Criticize where it deserves, but don’t be fair weathered. All that to say, you just may not be a nfl fan at all, which is fine

He had already announced his retirement plans for the end of that season. jones is a dirt bag.
Should have given him a raise and promoted him to the front office instead. But jones was not interested in being respectful and treating a legend with class. 😡
Bum Bright (for some weird reason) sold the franchise for cheaper than original to the first buyer who would agree to fire Landry as their first order of business. Backfired a little because he was a fan of Tex Schramm.

No i'm not a true Titans fan. I admit it. Bandwagon, at best. But, as I age, and the college game degrades (before our eyes). It would be nice - as a logical segue from TN to TN team - to follow the Titans.

I cannot undo my TN football fan affiliation. It was pumped into me at birth. Therefore, my biggest draw to pros, now is watching former Vols play.

Which is fair, but at the same time, maybe you can see my frustration reading your, and anybody else’s posts for that matter, regarding xyz involving Titans when you self admit you don’t follow enough to really know.

Same reason we as vols fans got so frustrated when we read sh*t from someone who doesn’t know the ins and outs of the program like we do

And to be completely fair, I think NFL > NCAA any day of the week, but it’s also 2 totally different styles of football

Levis played like a typical rookie QB...played really well in first half ...facing the pass rush and hitting receivers in stride....second half back to SEC Will.....picked off to end game and should have had at least 3 int...saying that he is going to be fine ..when Titans develop depth across OL....and find another receiver besides Hopkins......
He ain't gonna be "fine"....he is what he is and what he has ALWAYS been.

They get graded every week individually...that's how NFL determines who officiates in playoffs and Super Bowl...but yea they have their moments but NFL officials are a better product...but they get paid a lot more than college officials...
I do think the NFL and their refs are less inclined to corruption.

And how is that? Do you know his personal life? Seems like he and his wife might be into that kinda thing. They are still together.
and neither do you. In general, spouses are not ok with their spouse grabbing someone else's ass in a bar. There are exceptions. Just knowing Meyer's history is enough for me that I guess his wife has accepted it but is probably not ok with it. You can think what you want. But, until I see evidence to the contrary, Meyer is a scumbag, IMO.
