Don't know about. Ask Meatchicken if they can control the officials when out of conference. Really it's about time they expanded the playoffs. It Should be a little less controlled by the Powers that be .

I am not advocating a change of coordinators…..but I hope Heuple has Derek Mason as one of his top three phone calls if that time ever comes.

I was out to dinner and a show last night after the game so missed the post-game presser and I’m only just now catching up. Sorry if already posted, but this quote just really stood out to me.

I really hope Joe is able to find a way to win these next 3 games and go out on a high and as one of the more successful Vols. He’s improved from game to game, and he is really finding his groove now yet he still gets a lot of unwarranted hate. I just love this quote and how much he’s taken Nico under his wing and mentored him. Just like Hendon to Joe. Heupel does an awesome job creating a culture in that QB room of leadership and mentorship.

We’re going to be really young in the QB room next year, and I think we’re going to miss the kind of under-appreciated element of having older guys in there leading the way.

Long post, I know. But I just hope Joe can go out on top.

I don't think he leaves for anything other than a HC gig. If that happens, might want to say goodbye to Brian Jean-Mary. Banks had connections with him that most likely aided in poaching him from Harbaugh. Could see Banks tapping him as DC which would be an unlikely opportunity at UT at this point. I like the linebacker recruiting and play better than any defensive position group save DL.

We are playing a lot of young guys at linebacker. It also looks as if we are focusing on stopping the strength of the other team wether it is rushing or a passing attack. I would expect this week against Missouri we will press the los.

100%…he’s a really good coordinator but people complain because he is having to overcome deficiencies in the backfield. I think he only leaves for a head coaching gig but tons of teams would love to have him as their DC. I think you keep the team synergy and play improves as the talent level goes up.

I like BJM. There’s been solid development in that group over the last 3 years and there’s no better example of that than Beasley.

DBs are a different story. Decent development, see Hadden, but not nearly enough, IMO. This is the one move Id really like to see if we can upgrade.
