Boxing used to be great!

THe Spinks brothers....Ali...Norton...Foreman...Holmes....and even Cooney...boxing in 70's and 80's were great......do you remember the kickboxing I liked it also..it was a mainstay on ESPN back in the day...

Watching this Vikings game...there is no such thing as defensive pass interference anymore...you can literally grab, hug and generally molest the receivers as much as you want while the ball is in the air.


Of course I guess they will call one when they want to after letting guys do whatever they want the whole game.

It looks like they are overcompensating to the defense for some reason.

You're just being intentionally stubborn about it.

What you should say is bowl games don't matter in regards to crowing a champion. True.

The value of of the other bowl game rests within what is at stake within the program's that are playing in whatever bowl game they played in.

If you are a awful program like Vandy then getting to a bowl game MATTERS a great deal to THEM and their perception of them improves. The rest of the country will say, "hey vandy made a bowl game they're not that bad anymore"

Bowl games matter, just don't matter as much as playoff games.

I actually miss the days when a Bowl game meant something.

It's like a preseason to the spring game. Usually see most of the players your going to start with the next season. There's still bragging rights and rewards for the teams tough grind.

I'm sure the SEC wants Tennessee to be ranked higher in all polls when we play UGA. What do the voters have to do with the SEC giving a better whistle to UT during the mizzou game to increase our poll ranking & help strengthen UGA's schedule when we play them?

Last year was beautiful from start to finish in my mind. First time Vols have been relevant in 15+ years. Led the country in scoring. Beat Bama. Biletnikoff winner. First 10 win season since 2007. Orange Bowl victory.

Coaches poll doesn’t affect CFP rankings tho. For example, when Vols debuted at #1 in CFP rankings last year, I believe we were #3 in Coaches Poll with only 2 first place votes.

And It would make sense to move up as we won and are playing well, not for conspiracy purposes to get UGA back in the playoffs. They’re taking care of that themselves.
