What might end up saving him is that referenced loyalty. Always felt that he knew what his ceiling was as a coach and it was more realistic to realize his goals in Aames. Couldn’t predict that an abnormal number of his players would have a gambling addiction.

They shouldn't fire the guy...give him a minute and he will right the ship, but those idiots need to realize they ain’t ever gonna be big time.

Campbell rode the coat tails of a decent defense...and Brock Purdy and Breece Hall led offense ....that's why everyone wanted him as a HC...
