In case you didn't follow all off-season, 8-4 was literally the prediction Vegas, ESPN, analytics sites, etc. It only took me to be quite optimistic to come to 8.7 wins and 3.3 losses. And I'm a fan.


9-3 and 7-5 were the 2nd tier outcomes...10-2/6-6 essentially the "ceiling/floor" by most standards...still an 11% chance of going 6-6 or worse though. That's sports.

Not everything had us at 8 wins. 8.7 means that 9-3 is more likely.

The vast majority of people on here and in the media had us at 9-3 or better.

Anyone who picked us to go 8-4 did so thinking we would take a step back and assumed something would go wrong and we would get beat by someone we shouldn't. Kinda sounds like a season where you don't really accomplish anything other than taking a massive step back going 7-5 or worse.

It's insane how any of you think it's unreasonable for people to not be happy going 8-4 the way we are likely going to.

But yeah whatever, 8-4 getting pasted by Mizzou is totally cool and all. I mean we are a mediocre program after all right? 8-4 is where we sit all time. No one has ever thought we are a tradition power or anything.
