I definetly think Seldon and Keith have bright futures I'm just not sure either will be ready next year.

I also agree don't take just any running back, but if there's a decent Jr or Sr available with some decent production I think it's worth taking.
Not sure about Keith at all, but Seldon I'd be shocked if he's not ready.

I mean Jaylen Wright played a ton as a true freshman and he was nothing special and look how much better he got in a year.

Seldon is still new to the position, but he has more physical gifts than any of the other RB's under Heup.

Can't forget about Bishop. He may surprise people.

Now one thing to take solace in for next year is, we definitely won't have to wait until the second half for Dylan Sampson to be put in the damn game...

I get the vibe that maybe Banks is the one with his eye on the door already...

I will say this though, BJM is about to be a DC. Either here to replace Banks or he'll follow Banks (who I assume leaves to be a HC this off-season).
We don't need an up and comer. Need to go get and experienced, successful DC.

Oh I agree, but being his first choice doesn't mean it'll be his hire. He'll give BJM the respect at least to go through the process.

Heupel has shown already he isn't just going to hire a name to hire a name, so it's gonna be someone that fits in with existing culture and staff. And BJM will have a leg up in that regard.
Culture is important and Heupel definitely isn’t going to hire someone that goes against it for sure. BJM should, and probably will, get to at least have his chance in the process. He does have DC experience with Charlie Strong, so his ability as a DC is not a complete unknown. If Banks does leave and Heupel does go outside for the hire though, have to imagine BJM is gone too. He either follows Banks to be DC, or looks for another DC opportunity elsewhere. So I do get it’s a tricky situation.

Does anybody know anything about the development of the OL we have recruited over the last 2 years ? in general these are the ones you hope turn into being solid players in the near future hopefully and set the stage for down the road.

That would be fun Mack vs. Texas. Texas is another example of getting spoiled and prematurely firing a great coach and bought themselves a decade of misery. They ran off Barnes as well.
Please. Mack was washed up at Texas. Jimbo had a better win percentage in his last four seasons at A&M than Mack had in his last four seasons at Texas. And Barnes didn’t even make a Sweet Sixteen in his final seven seasons there. Both those guys needed a change in scenery.
