Oh, I know who it is. He's actually already committed (and I think signed) with Virginia Tech for wrestling.
Committed, hasn't signed, unless he's done it in the last few days. Got a call from his recruiting coach 2 weeks ago and was told to get his ass to school and get grades up, or his offer will be pulled.

Who’s watching the PAC 12 championship tonight?

I think I’m rooting for Washington. Oregon is a pain in the a** for recruiting. But I think Oregon wins.

I know you’re not watching @mr.checkerboards. You only watch SEC games. Lol
Looking forward to it. Might be the best championship game all weekend.

How many of you would be okay if your job told you that for all the hours of work you put in that they will pay for your food and your room and board and your medical, but not actually pay you any income?
And, oh yeah, you do have some risk for a catastrophic injury that might end your career in this field.

I get it, but...........they aren't in the work force yet.

Look at it like an internship

Both have cheerleaders that are, um, easy on the eyes.

YIKES!

I feel like an old curmudgeon when I think about these high school and college kids not focusing on the right things and doing the little things right. Smh

My profession includes data analysis at massive scales. What I do is find needles in needle-stacks. The IRS can analyze massive amounts of data at scale to refine what they have to look at manually. And it seems fairly obvious that the category of "has never paid a penny in federal taxes" (a pretty obvious short tale analysis) would be a prime candidate for manual audits.

It would be dangerous to under-sell the federal government's desire and abilities to get into the citizens' wallet. That's really at the top of their priorities.

It's a dangerous game.
Where did I say my clients pay no tax?

I didn’t say that once.

And most successful business owners have many layers and tiers to avoid major tax bills. By major, I mean going from owing $10 million to $5 million. You can do this through cost seg, bonus depreciation, profit sharing, charitable trusts, credits, etc.

LLC holdco
LLC partnership
S-Corp owners
Individual

Four layers to sift through. And all have a purpose. If you audit, you are most likely looking at the bottom level or top level. Rarely it is the middle.

It’s not a dangerous game. It’s knowing the system and working within the tax code provided.

743(b), redemptions, 1031, etc.

Interesting. So it isn't even about the money. It's about the work? Abolish women's volleyball! Those poor girls getting free school work hard for nothing!
