Happy for Vols to get the New Years Day Bowl Game..

But those who thinks they will blow Iowa off the field eeh idk...

Looking at a 13-3 score for the good guys...

Iowa offense may suck ass ,but their defense is no joke......

Sure... but let's look at just how good the offenses Iowa faced were.

Utah State: 27th in PPG, 22nd in total yards
Iowa State: 74th in PPG, 88th in total yards
Western Michigan: 91st in PPG, 80th in total yards
Penn State: 12th in PPG, 61st in total yards
Michigan State: 132nd in PPG, 128th in total yards
Purdue: 88th in PPG, 69th in total yards
Wisconsin: 104th in PPG, 77th in total yards
Minnesota: 116th in PPG, 125th in total yards
Northwestern: 102nd in PPG, 124th in total yards
Rutgers: 105th in PPG, 123rd in total yards
Illinois: 84th in PPG, 62nd in total yards
Nebraska: 124th in PPG, 118th in total yards
Michigan: 14th in PPG, 68th in total yards

Only 3 teams they faced were top 70 in PPG and only 2 teams were top 60 in total yards per game. Iowa played statistically some of the worst offenses in ALL of college football.

Tennessee is 41st in PPG & 17th in total yards and that's with a schedule facing multiple top 50 defenses in points allowed and yards allowed.
Tennessee's defense is 39th in points allowed and 40th in total yards given up. I think it could be a low scoring game too, but there's also a good chance that the Vols with a month to prepare and get healthy could play the best game they have all season and blow the doors off the Hawkeyes.

I’ll sum up how I feel about the CFP. If Bama went 13-0 and had lost their starting qb 3 weeks ago do you think they would have been left out of the playoffs?? Sad that it has come to this but there are a group of teams/conference that get preferential treatment from officials and leadership within college football.

Can’t believe I’m going full Involuntary this morning but I am!

I’m officially entering the transfer portal from College football! It used to be the greatest sport known to man and now it’s a sport run by a select few!

Officiating is at an all time worst and again the select few get just enough calls to tip an otherwise close game to who they want to win! When the calls aren’t enough they just go ahead and pick who they want so what’s the use to playing the games?

I’m going through my sports news apps this morning and first thing I see is ****** Finebaum saying spare me the outrage for FSU. It’s all too much..

You forgot Michigan cheating their way through the first half of the season and then getting the #1 seed in the CFP.

I gave up on basketball a while back as the officiating was just too bad to make it fun. A great game was too often tipped by a bad call at the end. The way the PI calls went this year I started to feel the same way. I lost count of the # of times the defender made heavy contact with our receiver before the ball arrived without looking back for the ball without a call. Whatever the cause (incompetence or corruption) it ruins the game either way.

I would start with recruiting. We have recruited about as expected. We aren't throwing around bags and signing some unprecedented class. Why would we do that in the portal if we aren't doing that for the normal class?
Because portal players have shown what they're capable of on the collegiate level. High school recruits haven't and would take 2-3 years to develop in most instances. That's too long when the window they're working with is for the next 2 years. Certainly they want to win every year, but if we believe a title is most likely in the next 2 years, then getting experienced players from the portal is paramount to recruiting high school players at this point. I think this becomes obvious over the next month or so.

Also, I think we'll see evidence of this being the case when we learn how many of our important players return (OL, Bru, etc)

Starting to get Schiano-y in here.

it will be just like last time that we faced Iowa… they won’t be use to our team speed/how we spread them out….. we will be up by four touchdowns by halftime.

It's future potential vs past performance. Most fans prefer we use past performance (although I'm 100% positive if the roles were reversed, most would still be fighting to keep Bama out), but the committee views their job as predicting future potential.

Ding, ding, ding.

FSU should be in (but so should Tex and Bama). It's an unfortunate situation. But the emotion some are showing is all because of Bama and SEC.
