Happy for Vols to get the New Years Day Bowl Game..
But those who thinks they will blow Iowa off the field eeh idk...
Looking at a 13-3 score for the good guys...
Iowa offense may suck ass ,but their defense is no joke......
Sure... but let's look at just how good the offenses Iowa faced were.
Utah State: 27th in PPG, 22nd in total yards
Iowa State: 74th in PPG, 88th in total yards
Western Michigan: 91st in PPG, 80th in total yards
Penn State: 12th in PPG, 61st in total yards
Michigan State: 132nd in PPG, 128th in total yards
Purdue: 88th in PPG, 69th in total yards
Wisconsin: 104th in PPG, 77th in total yards
Minnesota: 116th in PPG, 125th in total yards
Northwestern: 102nd in PPG, 124th in total yards
Rutgers: 105th in PPG, 123rd in total yards
Illinois: 84th in PPG, 62nd in total yards
Nebraska: 124th in PPG, 118th in total yards
Michigan: 14th in PPG, 68th in total yards
Only 3 teams they faced were top 70 in PPG and only 2 teams were top 60 in total yards per game. Iowa played statistically some of the worst offenses in ALL of college football.
Tennessee is 41st in PPG & 17th in total yards and that's with a schedule facing multiple top 50 defenses in points allowed and yards allowed.
Tennessee's defense is 39th in points allowed and 40th in total yards given up. I think it could be a low scoring game too, but there's also a good chance that the Vols with a month to prepare and get healthy could play the best game they have all season and blow the doors off the Hawkeyes.
