AP did mention Herring as a possibility. Not sure what AP has said about Small, but I thought at one point Hubbs implied that Small may hang up the cleats after this season.

Eh…I’m not that shocked. He entered the portal after Heupel’s first season. Had a nice 2023 season after a really good offseason, but it feels like he’s never really been all in on Tennessee.

Why? Diminished role next year? Assuming Wright goes pro, he could still see carries behind Sampson and Seldon next year. His history of shoulder injuries will keep him out of the league.
