It's just not closing on some of our top targets.I would like to know what is missing and what needs to be fixed. The second and more important part is whom is available for LB coach, TE Coach or QB coach/OC; that we would sign an instantly become stone cold killers. Not saying that they are not doing a great job but we aren't moving off KP,GE,RG,WM, TB and of course CJH.
His NIL was lowered and didn't get a similar offer from any big time school so he went to Kentucky for the biggest bag. I'd bet on it.I would bet my house many came after him. Do you think others didn’t contact Vandergriff too? Some times they get decent players even with being Kentucky. They’re still taking that L next year no matter what.
Agreed. I think JDJ is a heck of a physical player, but his athleticism was only really good. Between the guys already on campus and the guys coming, I see why he might leave. UGA will miss him, but Mondon returns and lots of youth got snaps—plus 3 top guys who will be true freshmen this year.I don't know why he left, but there are some young ILB who have more speed and maybe better pass coverage skills. Maybe JDJ thought he was going to see fewer snaps on passing downs in '24 and decided that was bad for his draft status.
Two things can be true at the same time. A fan may see one as being more important than the other and that will color their opinion on the matter and likely make them stress that side more than the other.
1) We’re recruiting better than we have in a long time. True.
2) We’re not recruiting better than the elite programs we face each year. True.
So both can be true at the same time and discussing both is valid.
